Gallery of log for Relic of Agricultural History
As we drove home from Hobart today, we came across some relics of agricultural machinery in a paddock next to the road. With her farming background, Mrs y'stassie chose the seed drill to meet the requirements for this cache. She remembers the seed drill on her farm in the 1950s but the one we saw today was a much earlier model - even had a wooden draw bar which had broken long ago.As we were taking the photo, three very friendly lambs ran across to the fence. We thought that they were being bottle fed and that our arrival suggested to them that it was "tucker time". Alas, they had to be contented with a pat. Two photos have been added to the Gallery. Thanks Cybergran V for the nostalgic cache.
PS the machine in your photo looks a little like an old threshing machine used to separate grain from the straw.
