Gallery of log for New Years Valley
I knew that this was really a 4wd cache, and as I don't have 4x4 I thought I'd come out on the push bike. Parked the car in a convenient side spot and rode the last couple of km's in. As it happened I could have easily driven in as close as 500m or less.
Took me a few minutes to find the cache, for a minute I was worried it might be gone. Happily it's well hidden in what cachers would see as the most likely spot, even if the co-ords are a few meters away. Probably due to the trees and valley.
I smiled at the gate at the top of the hill. There's sign on it asking you to keep it closed, but almost no fence on either side. I walked around it to see what the view was like, only to find myself standing in the backyard of a smart looking house.
Thanks for bringing me here.
