WanderingAus wandered by, taking three of the grandkids for a run around the southwest, and we decided to start the trip with the Donnybrook Apple Fun Park. I remember taking photos and waypoints for this playground almost two years ago, just weeks after it opened, but somehow it must have 'slipped through the cracks', because I noticed it had never been logged.

The Donnybrook Apple Fun Park was made possible due to the vision and outstanding generosity of numerous local businesses and hundreds of volunteers and was officially opened on 22 March 2008.



The range of equipment is suited to every child from the tiny toddler through to the booming teens, as well as a good set of exercise equipment for the teens and adults, and was voted tops by Axcel, Mikayla and Ethan (aged 14, 11 and 10) on this trip. Sophie and Ryan (aged 5 and 3) also gave it the thumbs up when they visited recently with their Mum and Dad.

This park has to rate about a 4.5 (out of 5), with a huge range of equipment types, plus ample seating for adults, six barbecues, 8 picnic tables, taps, bubbler, bins, toilets and heaps of parking.
