Since I own the nearby cache (GC6YJA8), I thought while I did a maintenance run I thought I would get a smiley on this locationless cache. Since the council has up graded the facilities it has become a hot spot for everyone both young and old. The activities include parties, outdoor meetings and general gatherings. I highly recommend this park to everyone who visits.
The pictures I have placed below on this log, are of the BBQ's and the playground. TFTLC
Other facilities: a free electric BBQ plate, picnic tables here, but no toilets.
Darlington Drive
Cherrybrook, NSW
This little park has a nice selection of playground options, plus a bench for parents to sit on.
There's also a small picnic shelter.
There are no toilets, however, and parking is on the street.
This is a very quiet residential area, not far from the Cherrybrook Shopping Centre.
Leura is my adopted home town and I know this area pretty well. The little park and playground are rarely very busy. I don't think many people really know that there's a playground here, so close to busy Leura Mall and its shops and cafes.
There's a car park on the other side of Grose Street and parking on the street, but sometimes it's hard to find a convenient parking spot in Leura. It seems like everybody wants to visit here, 365 days a year.
Our visit today, for the purpose of this photograph, was on Australia Day!
I'd rate this playground 3 out of 5. It would be better if there were nearer toilets and a bit more in the way of equipment.
The Donnybrook Apple Fun Park was made possible due to the vision and outstanding generosity of numerous local businesses and hundreds of volunteers and was officially opened on 22 March 2008.
The range of equipment is suited to every child from the tiny toddler through to the booming teens, as well as a good set of exercise equipment for the teens and adults, and was voted tops by Axcel, Mikayla and Ethan (aged 14, 11 and 10) on this trip. Sophie and Ryan (aged 5 and 3) also gave it the thumbs up when they visited recently with their Mum and Dad.
This park has to rate about a 4.5 (out of 5), with a huge range of equipment types, plus ample seating for adults, six barbecues, 8 picnic tables, taps, bubbler, bins, toilets and heaps of parking.
*Recommended* *Overall Experience: 3*

We have been to this playground many times as it is a good parking area for one of our caches.
The playground includes equipment for both small and big people.
It has the usual equipment for the littles and also has a 'circuit training' of exercise equipment for the big people. I wish there was one of these near my house.
When the pier was demolished and rebuilt a couple of years ago, some of the timbers were salvaged.
These timbers now make up a replica pier complete with fishing boat themed playground.
There is swings, slides, poles and much more.
There is close by picnic tables and the geokids rate it 5/5.
TFTC
Not only this equipment but there was a miniature train ride, a swimming pool and a skateboard ramp all within 100 metres.
The geokiddies enjoyed playing here after locating the nearby cache "Headon Seek".
The geokiddies enjoyed playing here.
Looks like a fantastic playground - lots and lots to do! Good for about 2 yo thru 13ish.
1: This park is known as "The Village Green"
2: S19 00.436 E146 12.403
3: Located in the township of Paluma in North Queensland.I dont think there is a UBD reference (Paluma only has three streets).
4:
5: As well as the equipment pictured there are toilets, picnic tables and a BBQ. Nearby, there are walking tracks, scenic lookouts, waterfalls, swimming holes, historical sites, a pottery gallery and a resturant (bring lots of money for this one).
6&7: The playground is the same as thousands of others around the country so I can only rate it as a 2.5 (Average) but the location is definatly a 10.
Thanks for the cache GeoMonkeys.
Located in Camberwell at cnr of Cookson St and Broadway means parking can be tricky at times.
Was here for GC2BBTB, and couldn't pass without letting the 3yo play.
A farily average suburban park, although the 3yo was fascinated by the gears on one structure. BBQs and plenty of tables/seats nearby.
Rating ..hmm 2.5
Probably give it a 3... not your average suburban playground, but not AMAZING either.
Being school holidays it was quite busy and all the shade was taken with picnic blankets. There is lots of equiptment but my eldest daughter was not happy with the playground, maybe the plaster put her off as there was nothing she could use
The kids loved the playground, but hated the drive to get there and home. I was a bit shocked at the water, almost 1m in dept right between everything, no fence, no barriers, yet we have to fence our pool?
Wombat Bend Play Area
Has an excellent fenced in play area - large sand adventure area, slides, swings (including a standard, 3 point and a 5-point harness), flying foxes (normal, and 3point harness), a maze, toilets, (free) bbqs, sundial, and various paths to explore.
3yo keeps asking to go back to the flying foz playground, so it definitely made an impression - problem is that it is 30-40 mins drive from home.
Despite all the great facilities, I'm afraid the play equipment just doesn't cut the mustard in my eyes. As we do not have children of our own, I'll just have to pass my own judgement, and compared to playgrounds I grew up with, today's just seem a little too sterile. However, kids today would probably love the place!
There is a traditional geocache in the park, and a couple of other items of interest to locationless hunters, so I think the location would rate quite well on an awesomeness factor. Given that we usually avoid playgrounds when it comes to geocaching, we're glad we've had the oppourtunity to log this cache.
Thanks GeoMonkeys.
2) S 36° 07.381 E 146° 52.476 (near the start of a nice Multi, Stoneles)
3) Wodonga, VIC (why need a UBD when you have a GPS?! )
4) Photo Attached of Park & GPS
5) Dude! There is a pirate ship, sea life Zeebeedee, slides, and a freaking springy boat!
6) 4 Star... needs more cannons.
7) Only 1 big kid who wishes he was 6 again
Lots of fun had here. There is one thing lacking though - a loo! So on occasion there has been a quick walk home with a small child.
We stayed briefly but the kids were bored here, the older kids thought it was boring with no fun equiptment, and the younger kids couldnt use anything, there was no ladder to the slide, you had to use a chain frame with big holes and it was wobbly. Not a nice well thought out playground.
It did offer lights, toilets, seats, bins and a carpark, but all of that is useless if the kids are bored.
when we went it was cold and wet but we will be back when the weather warms up. the kids rate this as a 5 star playground.
They rated it 3 out of 5. Little Miss Shifter's favourite is the one she is picture on - it simulates riding a horse.
There is a nearby toiletblock, bbq, drink fountain, water lakes, shelter and a carpark.
10/10 here
The playground is daggy now as it is over 15 years old, maybe alot older.
It offers the small playground, the parks walking trails, and a bin.
Kids like it for the walking trails not the playground so we rate this one as a 5/10, hopefully the council will replace this playground with a new one soon.
It offers a seat and the small playground equiptment in a baron park.
We rate this as 2/10, its not often a playground isnt welcoming.
It is in a nice small green park and offers the playground and a seat. Kids say its nice but we dont need to come back so I take that as a 6/10
WHile I am not keen on it my youngest daughter, aged 4 loved it as everything was her size, my older children werent all that impressed.
Rating for us is a 3/10 as I do not like these community places in schools, I like to know when I send my children to school others cant just walk in to play along side them
It offers a walk to a lookout and a cache , another nearby cache, big playground, tennis courts, sports oval, basketball courts, shelter, bin, seats, table, carpark, disabled swing and a free BBQ.
This place holds many memories for me coming here to play family tennis up until my Dad passed away, sadly we dont come here now, but after today we will be back, kids loved the playground - its the best, awesome! Only missing toilets so a 9/10
Kids dont like this playground, it looks like council didnt know what to do with the area so added a slide, swing and wobbly wombat to call it a playground, kids think it is yuck. Rating from us is a 4/10
Offers a small playground, nothing else.
Rating for us is 4/10
A lovely park that is always green offers a nice playground, sports oval, shade, table, seats, carpark, football oval and a cache
Kids think this playground is awesome and we are regular visitors here, we give this park a 9/10 as it is missing toilets.
Offers a small playground, sports oval, seat and a nearby cache
Kids didnt even want to get out here as the playground didnt offer anything cool to play on like the newer playgrounds in the area, so a 5/10 here
Only a small old playground, offering a grassed area, playground, seat and a cache in the park
Kids were bored here, too small and boring so we rate this as a 5/10
The playground is fantastic with lots of new equiptment for the kids, our favorite being the spiderweb with a tunnel in the middle.
This offers a sports ground, playground, seats, carpark and nearby bins.
The kids said it is the best , awesome and they want to be here all day, so I guess its a 9/10 from us.
It offers the 2 playgrounds, grass area, shelter, seats and a table, bin, a drink fountain and a basketball ring.
My kids thought this playground was boring and will only come back if we wanted to. For me it offered alot but not the cool equiptment of the new playgrounds the council are putting around, so a rating of 5 out of 10 here, playgrounds are no good if the kids are bored.
The park offers the playground, a small grassed area which in summer is just a dirt and prickle area, seats and a bin.
My kids said it is awesome and wicked and would like to come back so I would have to give it an 7 out of 10, would have been better with some shade, toilets and parking.
My 5 kids love it here, they have grown up with the playground, feeding the ducks and the walking trails, and have recently taken to playing in the creek and climbing trees.
The Community Adventure Playground on Windmill Drive in Ballarat, just next to Lake Wendouree is pretty large, has some cool climbing areas and was just what was needed to relieve the young girls boredom at a "large peoples event" .
Plenty of BBQs, toilets, tracks etc... in the area. All with a great view. I even believe that there are a few caches nearby.
She would have rated it a 5 but fell off some of the equipment and through the tears managed to convey that the ground was still pretty hard even after all that soft mulch had been put down. So...... still probably a 4 at least.
The Bearz (playing on the equipment) give it a rating of 3.5
The area has two main play equipment pieces, both of which include slipery dips.
The geokiddie has been here before and loved it, she gave it a 5 out of 5
There is a rock climbing wall, a slippery dip and some climbing ropes. Quite a good playground for a small, out of the way area.
The geokiddie wasn't with us but would have given it probabliy a 4 out of 5.
A relatively new playground that seems quite popular with the kids
Nice tall slippery slide (about 14 mtrs high) - larger than teh average slide you find in a park all with a space travel theme..
Also plant of grass for general running around & normal facilities all within close proximity to the slides
Geodaughter was quite happy to take a break from the car to play here for a while...
The UBD ref for this is Victoria Map 4 E2.
There are lots of cool equipment in it. It is quite new as well so very safe. Probably a 4 out of 5 for the whole family. Toilets and free BBQ nearby.
The park is starting to be a bit worse for wear, but it is over 20 years old.
It is Bayswater Park in Bayswater, Vic.
Melways 64F2
The park has a wooden interactive adventure playground, a sand pit with digger, swings, Rope Latice climbing frame, various statues and a train to climb on.
There are also BBQs, toilets and playing fields for the kids
This would have to be a 4 star rated park for all the facilities that the park has
