As we drove to the car park, the question was "Will we or won't we?" It was raining quite heavily and, despite coats, we didn't have a change of clothes. As we neared the carpark, the rain stopped and the sun came out. Off we went. As reported by Sirius, it was a pleasant and not too demanding walk. We saw parts of the 4WD track - as reported by Sirius, anyone who even though about taking a 4WD was,at the least, a born optimist. After about 80 minutes we got to the top. The cairn was much larger than we had expected. Through the low cloud we could see well to the south and west, Scottsdale, Bridport and Bass Strait. This would be a marvellous vantage spot on a good day. It was a much faster trip down - we completed the round trip in 2 hours 20 minutes. This cache is strongly recommended, especially on a clear day when the views should be magnificent. Oh, and by the way, the rain stayed away during our walk but returned 10 minutes after we got back to the car.
