Gallery of log for Pothole Fish
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, eventually heading to Bruce Rock for the annual Back To The Bush Veterans Reunion, but my first cache on the run was GC20FFE WanAus 152 - LKA Wyalkatchem, and GC2VC16 Putty Put and Possims by Blair Family in Goomalling was almost on the direct line to it.
After finding the cache I went back to the main street leading out of town and came across the Goomaling Cemetery. Of course I had to swing in there to claim a find of GA1531 The Cemetery Bonanza by stringy, and naturally I couldn't find a cemetery in my own stomping ground without placing a cache there, so after a walk around identifying the graves of service men and women I plonked down GC37CGY WanAus 208 - LKA Goomaling.
Back on the road towards WanAus 152 - LKA Wyalkatchem I needed to find a place to camp for the night, and Camps Australia Wide has a listing at Minivale, just north of the Namelcatchem Nature Reserve and not far off my route. After finding the designated area I decided against stopping there, and instead headed back to Namelcatchem Nature Reserve and to a camp spot I stayed at in the reserve two years earlier when I "First To Finded" GC17CAR Namelcatchem by ZED!.
Back on the road the next day I was less than 5 Km from WanAus 152 - LKA Wyalkatchem when I pulled over to try for a find of my cache GA1613 WanAus 137 - WA State Survey Marks. Despite a thorough search in the vicinity of the Survey Mark placard I didn't find it, but as I returned to the geoPajero I noticed this Pothole Fish, so all was not lost.
