A recently opened facility at Ulverstone High School is the Environmental Learning Centre. Features of the centre include a wind turbine and solar heater for energy production, kitchen garden and hydroponics for sustainable food production, classrooms and a laboratory. Active involvement in all aspects of the centre enable students to develop understandings of the importance of sustainability in their futures.
