Last find for the day making five GC caches and 8 trigs including two new ones. We'd passed this spot before months ago but didn't have the camera handy. The coords were still in the GPSr so we pulled up on our way home and crossed the road. I looked around the base for some identifier but there's a lot of growth. Then I found the metal tag with the "Water Board Survey" imprint that a previous cacher had found attached to the post. The wire has rusted away and it's fallen off. I placed it at the base of the post.
If it's a Water Board Survey trig it's still a trig, just need to find the official name and number. Someone will have access to the records no doubt.
