Gallery of log for Lady Lake
It was a lot easier to find the cache than it was to find the logbook. Seems the first two visitors books were full and we couldn't find a third. We did manage to squeeze a small entry at the very end of the book 2.
Then on the return journey we found a plastic folder full of loose pages with various entries from various periods on them. I read them all but couldn't find anything later than the 4/12/11 entry we signed after in book 2.
This hut is great, we actually went on to Ironstone and whilst the work put into building Ironstone is very much appreciated the current condition and facilities are not a patch on Lady Lake. Ironstone has perhaps a better vista and is probably better in really cold weather as I suspect the metho heater in Lady Lake takes a few by surprise. Wishing we had stayed the night at Lady Lake we toyed with making our way back but whilst we probably had just enough daylight we doubted we had enough energy after the day wandering around several side walks.
Had a great afternoon sitting in the sun on the patio on our return journey though. Beautiful location, wonderful hut. TFTC
