GCA 294 - 4522. In Sydney visiting the Navy Chapel on Garden Island.

This Stained Glass Window remembers the Royal Australian Navy Cruiser HMAS PERTH I which was sunk by the Japanese in 1942. My Grandfather was on board - survived the sinking - captured - sent to work on the Burma-Thai Death Railway (he was 42 years old !!) and died in Burma after a year working there. I have visited his grave - taking my Mum with me - in 1999.

TFTC - there are many beautiful windows all around thisa country !
