Gallery of log for Woodstock Homestead Area

19-Apr-12
Today was the third day of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland. We visited a number of towns and areas today between Sale and Bairnsdale and we were lucky enough to find some caches along the way. Despite being overcast at times and some very infrequent showers, we have had an excellent day. We are custom in Tasmania to having trig points on the tops of mountains and other high hills. Accessing them usually involves a pleasant bush walk of varying difficulty but at the end we can touch the actual marker. There is the occasional "drive by" trig but these are rare. Trig markers outside Tasmania are much more varied and this is one example - a marker on the top of a water tower and one we could not touch because of security fencing. Still, as others do, we will claim this as afind. The obligatory photo has been adedd to the Gallery. TFTC
