It is interesting where these old, and now apparently disused, trig points turn up. It is still listed on The Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment's Survey Control Marks Database (SurCoM)as "ST472 Gees Lookout" although there is no identification on the actual trig point. As well as finding the tripod we also found the stainless steel pin in a services pit. The photos added to the Gallery show one of us at the survey marker and the survey pin in the pit.
