I revisited Barrenjoey this morning. The bushfires have wreaked havoc. It's a bleak, black desolate landscape up there. Thankfully the lighthouse wasn't damaged. The same can't be said for the nearby trig, with the mast melted and split like a banana peel and the vanes lying discarded 5 metres away (see attached photos).
