For some unknown reason it was in mind this was an inground trig, and that is what was sought ... on driving part way along the track and stopped by rubbish, and on foot a muddy wide bog to traverse, it was with much surprise to part some bushes and behold the Base Richmond South solid trig base. Wow, that is not going anywhere in a hurry ... sad to see all the fittings gone bar, woohoo, the clear engraved nameplate.
