Logs for *Quokka

11-Dec-23
This was my only DNF after 3 nearby finds today. If similar to The Deenys Band cache as the previous cacher has mentioned then this cache appears to have gone walkabout. Hint was a bit too abstruse for me but, since this is the 3rd DNF in a row, perhaps the cache owner should double-check if cache is still in play?

Love it ... found quickly when I reached the right level. TFTH

Nice one ... well worth a rare Quokka FAV point ... tricky writing in "log" but left my mark at 200mm. TFTH

Coordinates are spot on ... lots of ants but not the 1 inch (2.54cm) variety ... more concerned about flies, flies, more flies ... and dugites! TFTH.

Trust the GPS ... mine kept bouncing around but always returned me to GZ. TFTC

Clever little hide ... very ingenious. TFTC

Good hide ... but Angelica's a little creepy. TFTC

Loved this hide Obvious place once GPS stopped bouncing. Ty Ty Ty CO for using imagination and ingenuity in these hides and containers ... not a mint tin to be seen. TFTC

Sneaky indeed I was a bit worried when I saw that there had been no logs for 3 months but cache located in the only spot it could be once the GPS stopped jumping around. TFTC

Nice easy find on a sunny autumn day. TFTC

Obvious when you stop and think about .. was waiting for some muggles to leave GZ when ... voila! they lifted the prize Nice meeting fellow cachers Michael and Maya. TFTC

Needs maintenance ... container lid no longer threads back on and the log is jammed too far in to extract.

Easy when you know how TFTC ... see note.

Ok, I can forgive one mint tin ... at least it's camo'd TFTC

09-Apr-22
Stood at GZ ... turned in many circles ... but no bananas So examined many crumbling "circles" but still no luck. Maybe next time? TFTH.

No 7m pole required here ... no log for several months either. At last! ... a cache large enough to leave a TB so decided to drop Shark 'Dude' here ... he's been in my possession for FAR FAR too long. TFTH.

As a male who suffers from chronic domestic blindness, I usually miss camo hides (even if I trip over them) but this was unmistakable ... with Good Friday coming up I particularly appreciated the Easter theme TFTH

One DNF ... some DNT's (no fishing pole) ... and a handful of finds including this nice easy one to finish a nice leisurely stroll on a cool sunny day. TFTH

Right where it was supposed to be ... just be careful when re-threading the container. TFTH

If you look vewy vewy carefully you can see this cache in plain view. Giving it a rare Quokka FAV point for placement and stunning location. TFTH.

Easy find on a lovely sunny day ... now off to take a selfie on the edge

Out on a lovely un-Father's Day (read A-i-W Mad Hatter's Tea Party) caching stroll with *Monkey, geospouses and geopooch at Whiteman Park on Market Day. Loved the variety of containers and hides. This is what Geocaching used to be ... thoughtful hides in sensible places rather than the iniquitous mint tin littered everywhere about the countryside. Better 10 clever hides than 1,000 inane ones. Not really 4* difficulty although hunt took longer than it should have because the cache outer container had fallen out of its hiding place. Please be careful when replacing the cache. Rare Quokka FAV point awarded for this series of caches. Thank you neva2old for laying this trail.

Beautiful day, cache still in place right at GZ but I would suggest using a stick to retrieve it. A decent-sized container worthy of dropping a couple of trackables which I have held onto for far too long ... but they have at least travelled to 3 continents whilst in my care. TFTH.

16-Jun-20
Easy find but needing maintenance as others have already observed. Logbook full and lid missing allowing water into the micro (not nano) container. Lovely view ... TFTH.

10-Jun-20
Easy find thanks to previous posts (and a convenient hole in the fence Very Happy) ... mint tin is rusting but logbook still dry. Moved cache to a more obvious place closer to listed coordinates. TFTH.

22-May-20
An easy find on the last beautiful day of a long Indian (Ocean) Summer. Muggles everywhere but location aids discretion. TFTH.

20-May-20
Seriously? NOT a minor bush bash @ 120m from the track. TFTH.

Right where it should be! A tad charcoal grilled but container and log intact. TFTH.

Just 20m off the track in plain view. Good size for a TB but too infrequent visitation. TFTH.

Samwise found peeking out from his hidey hole. TFTH.

Nice camo job. TFTH.

Found Bilbo resting peacefully by the track. TFTH.

Out on a birthday stroll today. An easy find at GZ. Dropped Millennium Falcon TB. Not a frequently visited cache but I'm hoping that someone keeping an eye out for TB's will pick this one up soon. Cache is close enough to Wanneroo Road for a quick park and grab. TFTH.

Easiest one so far. TFTH.

Much better trackside hide. TFTH.

18-May-20
An easy find bang on GZ ... TFTH.

Love it! Worth a rare Quokka FAV point. TFTH.

Nice and simple camo. TFTH.

12-May-20
Strolling around the Badgerup wetland, stopped to drop off a TB and log this easy find hidden in plain sight. TFTH.

03-Mar-20
Dilemna or Dilemma? What a conunderum! (LOL) Dropped the Words to Live By Scout TB found in New England last Fall in the small sistema. A discrete find in spite of all the muggles. TFTH.

06-Feb-20
Out exploring the Southbank for an hour or so before my afternoon flight home to Perth. An easy find in an iconic location. TFTH.

A clever little hide, deserving of a rare Quokka FAV point. TFTH.

Found with *Monkey on an afternoon stroll around this pretty town. TFTH.
