Logs for Ch00ka

27-Mar-09
Walk past here with my geopups almost every day and still took a while to find it. It is a lovely spot, sunset is one of the best times to search for this one.

09-Mar-09
Took geopups for a looong walkies on the public holiday. Great spot, wonderful view.

29-Dec-08
Found this on our last day in Russell. Amazing views with some persistent muggles taking about 50 photos! (Just one more). Took while to place it back.

25-Dec-08
Seemed like a good one to do after a big Xmas lunch but the drinks must have thrown us off. We had enlisted the whole family - new to geocaching - and even a guide dog in training but couldn't find the V to find the clue in.

This really had us stumped we had to be right on top of it - under it - playing with our 4 legged trainee guide dog decoy and couldn't find it. 0 for 2 on our Xmas hunt

21-Dec-08
After completing "Up Deep Creek" geofamily got very keen and tore up the tor. GPS got us a little off target but it was probably still pining for Australia.

Left Butterfly charm
Took a bag full of rubbish out (such a beautiful spot for a picnic if only people would clean up after themselves)

Just arrived in NZ in the afternoon on holiday and found this one on the way to the beach for a BBQ. Used it as an introductary cache for the whole family and they got very keen once it was found.
Took Butterfly charm
Left Aussie $2

Had a look for this this morning and couldn't find it, used geo pup 2 as a muggle decoy/deterent. Will check my coords and try again tomorrow

10-Jun-08
Saw that this had been replaced (glad it wasn't just my eyes before) and went after it with geo pup 2. Found it and realised I forgot my pen. Went and refound it on the morning dog walk with a pen this morning. The night views of the city are fantastic from here.

01-May-08
Found this on the morning dog ride. Let geopup #2 frolick in the rock pools as a decoy and the play in the river for fun!

26-Apr-08
Tricky spot to be unseen, lots of muggles. I've walked the geopups around the lake a number of times before knowing about geocaching and hadn't seen any one looking for it. Took the mystery blue and green slider, left UK 1 pound coin.

Took geopup #1 to look for this one and had no luck, found lots of places it could have been, pups nose was too distracted to be of any use. Will try again another time, may be the rabbits got it.

19-Apr-08
This was our first find ever. Walked our dogs up the river, no one playing but the nets were going up. Blew some bubbles for the dogs. Fun for everyone, can't wait to find another.

Found it on my Sunday morning bike ride - had to scale the fence. Awesome camo, no dogs today but the ground was ... ruff!
