Logs for HedleyLamarr

03-Nov-13
Despite a good search, unable to find the cache container. Since it has been muggled on several occasions now, it might be time to retire this one...at least for the time being.

Dearly Departed, Rest In Peace.

25-Oct-13
Thanks mwc995. Will carry out maintenance as soon as possible. Big Grin

20-Jan-13
Quick find. Just as well - raining! Old convict bricks in well wall? TFTC

16-Jan-13
Well, what a challenging little number this was. The choice of way down to the island is certainly important. Tried about 3 different ways before we chose one. Once down, it was a quick find - the GPS led straight to the spot. Signed the log and then stood for a while surveying the hill to see if an easier route existed. It did. It became obvious that we had chosen the HARDEST way down!

Great spot, great cache, great big challenge that deserves a favourite.

12-Dec-12
A great start on a beautiful day. TFTC

Good lunch, good company, good find. TFTC

3 down, 9 to go on this special date. By the way, Bundeena residents have some great letter-boxes. TFTC

200th caching find! TFTC

Lucky 7! TFTC

Another creative container deserving of a favourite. TFTC.

This is going to be a good day. TFTC

Love in-plain-sight caches. TFTC club bindi

Great cache. Hiding a huge container in such an exposed area. Excellent!

Almost got hung-up on this one until younger eyes spotted it. Favourite.

With assistance of compassingreading and The Teutonic Titwillow. TFTC

Struggled with this one for quite a while. Had a think about it and then the lightbulb lit up! TFTC club bindi

18-Nov-12
Nice walk, nice views. TFTC

18-Aug-12
What a beauty! Found it in company with compassreading and the girls. Well, actually one of the girls figured it out. Yes we almost gave up and then when it was found we realized that none of us had a pencil and none in the cache container. Apologies but the log wasn't signed. TFTC.

12-Aug-12
After a reported muggling, checked on the cache only to find that all was well. The cache was intact and in its rightful position. Can only assume that a Good Samaritan had replaced it. To whoever you are, thank you.

11-Aug-12
mankycat reports that Dearly Departed has, well, departed. Or in other terms, it has been muggled. Will have to temporarily disable it until repairs are made.

20-May-12
Hard to imagine that a scrap of paper and a 5 cent pencil are so desirable. Must be because the old ones were stolen. Go figure. New log and pencil in place.

As a co-maintainer of this cache I was very relieved not to be able to claim a FTF for this one. Congratulations Tracystone on your first one and I hope you have many more.

26-Nov-11
And now to the doctor for a tetanus shot.

Had help from compassreading Difficult without it - GPS all over the place.

05-Nov-11
Cache was 50m from the resort we were staying at so very grateful to Summer10. TFTC.

30-Oct-11
An unexpected FTF! Thanks Team_Gnome for a top effort. Although I'm not a local I regularly holiday up this way and it's great seeing more caches appearing in this beautiful area.

29-Oct-11
I'm told I am a co-owner of this cache so felt duty- bound to make the 600km trek up here to find it! Well worth the trip. Pity it wasn't a FTF. Can an owner claim a FTF?

19-Oct-11
Tried at 6pm but so many people around. Decided to wait until it got a bit quieter so up the road for a Thai dinner, a couple of beers at the pub and then trivia (we won!). Back at 9.30pm and no one around. Luckily found the sneaky cache quite quickly. Signed log and took care to replace it exactly where it was found. TFTC Stealthiest.

09-Jul-11
Had a look today and I can confirm that The Friends of Wombarra cemetery have done a fine job of renewing the garden but they missed the cache - it's still there. Placed a pristine, new log sheet in the container.

When looking for the cache please be aware that there is no need to trample the garden. Although the cache is near the garden it is not in it.

25-Jun-11
Found with the help of a coopertive security guard.

Great lunch in Lygon St and then a quick find. TFTC.

23-Apr-11
Perfect Autumn day for a walk to the highest point of a continent. About 5,000 other people thought so too including a number of cachers that we met searching for this one. Finally found it (only 2m away from posted co-ords). My mate compassreading came prepared and placed the log in container within another container. Should be safe and dry now. TFTC.

22-Apr-11
Slightly off? I eye-balled it at being close to 50m from the wombat. But then again I've been told a million times not to exagerate! TFTC.

27-Mar-11
GPS signal was all over the place so it took a while to figure this one out. Finally got there after trying a few different paths and with a bit of back-tracking. Be careful at GZ - I agree that it could be dangerous. TFTC.

21-Mar-11
In light of its relatively low 'Found It'/'Didn't Find It' ratio, have raised the cache's overall difficulty rating to 3.

23-Jan-11
Delicious, especially with a mushroom sauce and perhaps some garlic to make it more effective. TFTC.

Do we take this track or that track? That one, but 300m later we're still no closer to the cache. Eventually, after following EVERY track we finally got there. Very good container, although the plastic cap is cracked and might let in rain. Log was dry today. TFTC.

20-Jan-11
Second time lucky for this one and only because I took the geowife. A few hints too from someone I can count on when the chips are down.

19-Jan-11
My very first cache so wasn't quite sure what difficulty to allocate. In light of DNFs by some very capable cachers, have bumped it up to 2.

15-Jan-11
I'm too old for gymnastics in Olympic stadiums. Took me and my creaking bones a while to reach this one but we got there. TFTC.

Great cache container. compassreading kicked this one out of the way so he wouldn't trip over it. Hey, what's that....? TFTC.

Took the slower approach to this one. Quick search while others zoomed under us at 100km/h. TFTC.

Well camouflaged cache container. I'm sure Curly enjoys the looks on cacher's faces when they find it. TFTC.

Tried hard on this one. No kids around so spent quite a while here but without success.

Love caches that you can almost reach without getting out of the car. TFTC.

compassreading found this one while I was keeping an eye out for the police. Ginger and Mary-Anne? I wish - our geoladies look more like Lovey Howell!

A tough one alright. There was some sort of meeting going on in the hall but it didn't deter us. Must be getting immune to people thinking I'm an idiot! TFTC.

compassreading spotted it first but I think we both got malaria. TFTC.

14-Jan-11
Thought I'd have another crack at this one, with help from compassreading. Literally took 10 seconds this time. How did we miss it before? TFTC.

02-Jan-11
Bacon and egg breakfast and then off to pay homage to the Hoff. TFTC.
