Logs for Koopac 

We stayed in a campsite nearby, and on our last day - after a fantastic hike to Isthmus peak, and a refreshing swim in Lake Hawea - we decided to look for this cache to mark our visit in this beautiful place. Nadia found it easily, thanks for the cache! 

We met with my childhood friend here, whom I haven't seen for many years (decades?). It was a great reunion, and he enjoyed his introduction to geocaching. Maybe our community will have a new member soon! Paddy's story is very unique, and it was fun to learn about him. Tftc! 

The container is damaged, logbook is wet. 

We were visiting the wonderful caves below, but we had to wait for our tour to start. So I decided we hunt for some caches. Nadia found the container lying on the ground, open and completely wet. See attached photo with last log. Our pen didn't work on the wet paper. I placed it under a nearby rock, but I don't know the original hiding place. Will post a maintenance notice. Cheers 

I liked this cache a lot because it seemed to be in the middle of the sea. I got the nz tides app, and found out that in one hour it would be low tide. So, we got ready and walked down to the beach from our lodging. Wow! Breathtaking views, and cool lava rocks in the water. Loved every bit of this hunt. Tftc! 

I knew where it should be. I was sure! And I looked and looked, but found nothing. Then as a last resort, I had to check the hint. And it said exactly the place where I was looking. So I went back, and... found the container ... need to learn to trust my instincts more... Tftc
