Rainy day on holidays. Went for drive around to see salt lakes and geocaches. 3 year old happy he found it TFTC

Wanted to come check out the boat ramp and realised ther was a cache nearby. I thought it would be hard to find, 6 year old spotted it first.TFTC 

Little pit stop in Port Victoria, good time to look for a cache. 6 year old worked it out on approach where is might be located. Nice find.TFTC 

Not much snow, so went for a bit of a wander. "I like that boulder, that's a nice boulder"!TFTC

Found while doing the koala trail on the hire bikes. Was alot of fun.Nice spot, cheeky hide.TFTC 

Hint was good to help us avoid walking through too much long grass in the sun (cautious of snakes).Quiet spot, parking easyTFTC 

Driven over that bridge probably hundreds of times in my life, but never stopped here. Had to have a think like a geocacher to find it. Can see the water line from recent rains/flood of the river from all the debris washed up, would've almost made it up to the under foot area of the geocache. All in tact.TFTC 

Log a bit damp. Had a snail friend on top. Easy enough to find when you have done a few geocaches before.TFTC 

Quick stop after spending a few days at Lake Lacelles (perfect spot for lake side camping). 5 year old knew exactly where to look. Trackable dropped off 

No one around when we were there. Easy find. Was cautious around long grass, just in case snakes out in the sun. Took our first trackable, Judith the Janitor. Another trackable in the cache still. TFTC 

Super windy today. Was stirring up all the sand, changing the colour of the water.
Stopped in to have a look from Port Douglas to Cairns....can understand why its called Palm Cove!

Our gps was a bit out. But went with where we thought might be significant to place it.

Stopped for a swim (cold initially, but lovely). Lots of fish. Didn't eat any food, but looked pretty tasty.

Great spot for train lovers. And the bakery around the corner has so many amazing looking treats!
Swapped a couple of things for some Turkish(?) coins

Couldn't park super close, but not too far away, easy walk next to train tracks. Even though the station isn't used, the little garden area is very neat and well kept. The seat at the station gives you a fairly long view of the train coming or going.

The kids liked the shovel, said it was way too big for a normal person to use so must be a giants shovel.

My GPS was a bit out. The hint helped. Was a little bit high for my kids to see it, but they liked the little sausage dog and how it was called silly sausages

Nice quiet little pocket of Bush. Driven past many times and never realised there was an oval there too.

Perfect spot for a geocache, have found 15 now. Kids are getting good at finding the good spots that geocache are hidden.

Nice Boulders 

Nice little spot. There was a pencil inside 

Couldn't spot it. Looked for about 15-20mins until the kids got hangry. Pool closed, so at least no one is around

4 year old found the spot, there was a bit of rubbish in it and I said it wasn't it. Then we went back to the spot and looked properly! Nice and camouflaged.
