Logs for OldGimmer
07-Nov-06
Found on our return journey back to Perth from a day out around the south-west coast. This was our last chance for a find in Oz as we fly out to Singapore tomorrow.
This is a lovely place for a cache, found easily, but well hidden. We took nothing, but left the "Blue Piece-Hall Traveller" travel bug. The other 2 Piece-Hall travel bugs were left in New Zealand. We look forward to seeing which, if any, of them makes it back to Halifax in the UK. We also left a Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Thermometer/Key ring, also from home.
Thanks for a very nice location for us to end our very enjoyable visit to Australia.

Had a lovely meal at one of the Chinese restaurants then went to tie my shoe-laces nearby and lo-and-behold, a cache! Filled in the log on a nearby bench and returned the cache. Not too many muggles around at 10pm, but must be muggle alley most of the time.
12-Oct-06
Found this on our way south to do a cruise on Doubtful Sound. Nice location, not too hard to find, actually found by Mrs OldGimmer (her first solo find). Left Pinky and Perky TB and White Piece-Hall Traveller TB (I wonder how long it will take to get back to Yorkshire)
07-Oct-06
This took longer than I expected. The new growth of shrubs etc. didn't help, but it finally dawned on me what the clue really meant. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Nice location, the locals are very quiet.
02-Oct-06
Found this as our first cache in New Zealand. We are currently travelling aound here from the UK and saw this site located just off our road down to Wellington. Found the hide quite easily, the GPS said that I was 1 Metre away and I reached out and touched the tree. The log book was rather damp, as was the surrounding grassland, and is nearly full. We took nothing but placed "Red Piece-Hall Traveller" TB to start its journey back to Halifax UK. This little TB has 2 other siblings, and it will be a race to see which (if any) of them get back home again to the UK.
Thanks for the cache, a very nice location, if a little damp after all the rain.
