Logs for PinkDolphin
15-Sep-15
Visiting the area from Raleigh, NC before I head up to Sedona. Found with Lookin'Good, DR, and AZJoker. I had thought about looking for this one on my own on more than one occasion on previous visited, sure glad I did not follow through. Nice hike to the cache, not too terribly hot on the trip out with occasional burst of a cool breeze. I am thrilled to have finally singed the log on this one, and a bigh Congratulations to DR for her milestone. Signed log and replaced as found, many thanks to the Geocaching community for maintaining the gem.

Headed Wast looking for scarecrows found Mingo instead. No back East to GeoWoodstock. Thank you for maintaining this cache.

Okay I am officially nuts, I admit it. I had a layover in LV on my way to CA and had some time to kill. Fearful I might not find a physical cache, (I have to imagine in a high muggle place like LV caches go missing very easily) I got a cab and had the driver bring me to this virtual, then back to the airport, where I had to clear security again, but still had time for my flight. Thanks for having something there for me to pick up LV. Email sent.

This cache was one of my target caches behind my trip to Georgia from North Carolina. Today we assembled a great group for a 4 hour tour of the lake (we fared far better then the passengers of the Minnow and Chuck Noland.
The group consisted of our most esteemed Captain; HD JP, most excellent First Mate and human compass; huddy_d1, my GA caching pal DragonFlyDreams, along with Asue and Boo2931. For this one we hiked over from June 18, 2005, who knew there would be so many steep hills and inclines on these small lake islands.
This was also a milestone cache for both myself (10,000) and DragonFlyDreams (5,000). Our planning probably started back in January and it was almost like a choreographed dance to arrive at the same distance from our respective mile stones living and caching in different states. When we arrived at the lake we were both at X,992, so this was our 8th cache of the day.
We found the cache, took a photo or two and then hiked back to our water taxi. Thanks for placing this cache and keeping this oldie alive.

One of many caches found today with StampTeacher on our wild ride from Newberg, Oregon to GeoWoodstock. This one took a bit of looking, after much poking and prodding we finally were able to find this elusive little cache,

I wish I could attend, but I will be in Sedona, AZ and even with the time and day difference I don't think I can make it. I would rather be in OZ then Arizona if that makes you feel any better....have fun.

To anyone who has not been to this area before it is amazing. Such a shame there was no Geocaching when I was fortunate enough to visit this area. Well worth a visit.
