Beautiful place. Inside of cache was wet so dryed it out, replaced the ziplock and taped the crack in the top with duck tape. Should stay dry for a while. Left Turtle Bay squashed penny. Flying back to California tomorrow. Thanks for a great visit!

Staed overnight in Christchurch and took the walk across the park, finding the cache along the way. Nice spot. Cache is in good shape. Left Turtle Bay key ring from Redding California. We are flying home in 2 days and have loved your country! TFTC.

On our way to Milford Sound for the overnight. Cool spot. TNL coin. TFTC. Traveling from California for one more week.

Nice spot. Too bad the rain blocked the view but at least we got a little walk. TN Left Turtle Bay Flashlight from Redding CA. TFTC
Nice walk in the rain on our way out of Queenstown. Left Moose Moose TB for the start of his new journeys. He was last seen in British Columbia and lost, so I have recreated him and brought him from California, turning him loose here. Hope he has happy travels and gets to go out to lunch! TN L TB SL. TFTC.

Easy find in the woods. Cache was very visible from a distance, so hid it a little better under some sticks. Turtle TB was not in the cache. TN Left Shoot This Dog IITB, Big Head Todd CD (our son works for the band) and a Turtle Bay flashlight from Redding, CA. TFTC. This is a beautiful country!

We stayed at the Great Beach House B & B and turned on the GPS and found this was just .15 miles away. We tried the south beach route but couldn't get through the gorse or climb over the rocks. So, we went back past the Beach House restaurant (fantastic dinner the night before with awesome views) and took the beach track and followed it around, then up to the top. If you stay toward the cliff edge, you will miss most of the gorse and brambles. We tried the straight on approach first and got a few scratches for our efforts. Once on top the views are so beautiful!. Cache is in good shape but the container is a clear plastic rectangle. Old log is wet, but new log is dry. TN, left Sundial Bridge TB from Redding CA. Decided to start it here and hopefully won't be too long until it is found. TFTC. If you need a place to stay the B&B is wonderful and Mike and Yvonne are the best hosts. They were very excited to hear there was a geocache near their place. We love geocaching because of places like this that give us a good walk!

What a cool cache. Lots of muggles but with a little distraction by Rocky, we were able to be stealthy. Our first successful cache in NZ. Had to leave Moose home in California. TN left O'Reilly Frog and a Sundial Bridge Squashed Penny from Redding California. TFTC. My first chance to log this cache and the O'Reilly frog has moved on already. Will try to add with a note to the owner.
Nice walk to the top and a great view. We are dedicating this to our good geocache buddy, Rob the younger. He would love the Virgin Mary Statue. Took NZ geocoin and will take it back to California. Left San Juan TB and a Turtle Bay Flashlight. TFTC.

We took the first hiking trail at the end of the beach, not realizing there was another further along. We ended up bushwacking through a lot of rainforest before realizing we were on the wrong track. Went back to the beach and got on the right track, gorgeous views and Orokawa Beach was great. Our GPS kept jumping around with the tree cover and we never did find the cache. It was a great walk but sorry we missed it after all the work.
Geocaching in the rain forest is not easy for us. Too much tree cover for our GPS to handle. Us Californians think you must have poisonous snakes and spiders waiting to get us in the bush! We know, you say you don't. Anyway, it was a nice hike, but no luck with the cache but a great location.
