Found while caching in the area between soccer games. Very interesting but closed. TFTC TeamCooper Rochester Illinois 

This dam is located on Sangchris lake straddling the Sangamon and Cristian County line near Rochester, Illinois. It was formed in 1964 to create a cooling lake for a coal fired power plant. It is a 50 foot high earthen dam built across Clear Creek. It covers 3,022 acres and has 120 miles of shoreline. The lake has become known as one of the best crappie and bass lakes in the state. Found this one while caching in south east Illinois. Didn't have to worry about it biting us as it became very scared or very shy. When we touched it it closed up tighter than a drum. This was a busy area with fisherman and mushroom hunters so it was matter of time before this one was squished. We moved it off into the woods after our photo session. TeamCooper
