Wow - an FTF! Found this with Etherlord. Nice sized cache - big enough to fide trackables in. Performed a trackable swap.

Ever played Zork? The Great Underground Empire? There is a place in there described as a bunch of twisty little passages, all alike. Now I see where they got it. Walk down some random path which invariably turns away, but then comes to a junction with a track that heads in the right direction for a while then turns away, but comes to a junction with a path that heads in the right direction for a while then turns away...
Approached the cache and thought "oh no, another magnetic to the bench cache". But no! I am pleased. Found the cache and... uh... How do I get back?

Had some time to fill sop went caching around Karori. And I prefer caches that involve a walk, rather than park-and-grabs, so the skyline trail seemed a good idea. Yup, definately a good idea! TFTC, Taybee.

Dropped a TB into the cache, confirmed all OK. Hey! the City Council are concreting the underpass - no more muddy feet! Excellent! Good on you PNCC!

Chatting to an old man there about the number of soldiers you could fit in a bull vs the number needed to take over a city. About three should do it. For both. Found the cache while inspecting the mechanism, yes, while talking to the muggle! (retrieval was more circumspect, though)
03-Jun-12
Strolled straight past this one before we realised. GPS says 7m up the bank. I said to Etherlord - "how about that interesting tree there? and that hollow there?" Yup! Swapped a TB.
01-Jun-12
Got to the GZ which is the front of clubrooms and the only thing that makes sence as to not be working anymore was the fusebox. but after really good look there I decided that wasn't the spot. But this was the pre-dawn, and I had Little Miss Etherlord with me who wanted her breakfast. So I'll pop back later and and widen the search on the assumption the coords are out.
Etherlord has been raving about the wonder and amazingnessness of a firewoof cache, and today I meet my first one. Oh, yeah, no wonder it is overflowing with favourites! Adding one of mine to the heap. Shame I could not fit a TB in there...
Found with Etherlord and Little Miss Etherlord. I love these little old churches! Performed a TB swap.

Bushbashed completely the wrong way to the cache, from the edge of the bridge. Found the hidey hole, and then bushed back an even more wrong way back to the car. Found with Lillianavess on a fill in the gaps tour of Horowhenua.
Quick find at the far end of the park. Loved the log entry about the muggle who found this and liked the idea. Found with Lillianavess on a fill in the gaps tour of Horowhenua.

As I was doing this I thought I did this at the Levin event, but the final was not familiar. The event must have set up a similar cache. Found with Lilliana Vess.
LLilliana Vess and I must have had our eyes switched off. Man, did this take a lot of finding. The cache was found on the 6th search of its hide. TFTC, card7ff*boy.
Lilliana Vess opted not to grab this one, having been ouched by a tree there. I grabbed the cache, congrats by the way card7ff*boy, on the outstanding cache size. And the great enterance! Then we spent the next 10 minutes getting all the ouchy seeds of our clothes, hair...
Nice to see the hotel doing its thing. +1 TB, -2TB. Will move them to Palmerston norht or Wellington depending on whether they havent been there before.
Not a pineapple tree, not a cache hide either. Is it still there? I and Lilliana Vess are coming back down in two weeks, would love to have another stab at this one.
Found the obvious hidey hole, complete with camoflage stones, but the cache has gone on a mission of its own. Time for a replacement.
Big caching day around Levin with Lilliana Vess. Nice little park, no muggles around.
05-May-12
A great little multy with a nice hide at the end of it. Found on the way home from an anti-frustrating day (at long last we found Raumai Cicada!)
14-Apr-12
Was coming past on the bicycle, so thought I would stop in for a maintenance check. The PNCC had completely replaced the hide and reinstated the cache. OUTSTANDING!! Go PNCC!!
OK, but need to come back and change the log.

Rubbish is starting to come back [:(!]. Took a little while to find this - lot of mahoe here...
Not one I had planned for, wasn't prepped for it, but heck, we're at the great Easter event, there are cachers galore here. And someone else was prepped, so I, Banian and Redants borrowed the map. Thanks, LeftyNZ!

Found almost by accident - we stopped here to re work #9's math, and found a geotrail right beside us!
Found with Banian and Redants while doing the Zealandia trail on a very warm beautiful Wellington saturday.

Only 3 answers to ZQ? I found a lot more than that, but only 3 made reasonable sense, and only one had the distance about right.

We walked right past this and stopped on the track further up to recheck the math. Redants found #10 right beside where we stopped! So we found 10 before we found 9!

Failed miserably on this some time ago, so today is my second attempt. The cache was lying loose on the ground and the hide upturned. Reinstatted it all properly. How the heck did I miss this the first time???

Found 4 weta in situ, plus 8 of what looked like spider nests. Cool cache - very different.
What a pretty cemetary. All these little hillocks and trees. Quick find. First entry in a new log!!

Lovely old store. But it is serious night time now, the stars are out, prompting a quick impromptu lesson in stellar navigation to my cachemates. Cache 41 of 45 on a super awesome cache day road trip to Hawkes Bay. Seagnoid, Lillianavess and Etherlord.
Slight tricky find, especially when using torchlight at 10pm. Cache 43 of 45 on a super awesome cache day road trip to Hawkes Bay. Seagnoid, Lillianavess and Etherlord.
A bit of back and forthing to find the enterance. It is nearly 10pm, dark as, and here we are bushbashing. How seriously do you cache? They don't lock the toilets at night here! THANK YOU!! Cache 42 of 45 on a super awesome cache day road trip to Hawkes Bay. Seagnoid, Lillianavess and Etherlord.

I nutted my ankle a few weeks back, and while I can now ride a bike pretty much back to normal, even walking this little track was a challange. I guess I will not be tramping for a while yet! TFTC
