Beautiful afternoon for a stroll on the beach and pick up a geocache. After negotiating the cliff caused by recent high seas we found the cache easily. No nude muggles today despite the perfect weather. Took nothing and left a dolphin keyring. The cache could do with a new plastic zip bag.
It's just a shame the authorities appear to be powerless to stop the devastation that the local hoons are causing to the dunal system in close proximity to this cache.

GZ located by GPS. Decrypted message not much use around these parts - there's rocks everywhere and the view is definitely worth the climb. For those not so fit geocachers out there you would be better coming from the Fern Pool end rather than climbing the stairs. Left small superball, took nothing.

More like "Oh Mosquitoes"!! Visited this cache late in the arvo and got hammered by mosquitoes. Might be an idea not to forget the insect repellant next time. Intreresting bit of geology and coastal vine thicket with lots of decoys - pretty clever Temingi. Left surf medalion.

An interesting history lesson - Thanks Temingi. Didn't really notice the needle until we found the cache. Miscalculated the co-ords for stage 2 (should have double checked the maths)but enjoyed the walk along the beach. Got approached by some dutch camper vanners who were after a freebie camping spot for the night when we were trying to be sneaky rehiding the cache. Ended up giving them travel tips for Qld the next half hour. Left compass keyring, took superball.

Very sneaky hide Temingi. Nearly slid down into the creek before realising werent quite at GZ. The flying foxes may have moved slightly since this cache was hidden as their smell wasn't very noticeable. TNLN.

I've been wanting to check out this camping spot for a long time. On our way home from our Regional Team Meeting at Broken River Resort, Eungella I finally got the opportunity with Maski and some CWGIS work colleagues (Stephen, Norm, Peter, Dan, Juanita, Jess and Kylie) . On finding this cache we felt pretty good with ourselves after our aborted attempt from the kiosk at Broken River the day before (a trial team building exercise which failed due to some questionable directions). Juanita kindly surrendered her citrine ring to the cache only because we couldn't persuade her to put in one of her earings and Jess did a bit of road maintenance in the Camry on the way out.
I'll be back in the near future to enjoy this tranquil setting in our camper.

No sleeping in around here - the Sulphur Crested Cockatoos are soooooooo noisy. They would even wake a platypus!!!

Cache was soggy so dried out logbook and replaced container (compliments of the chef)

Nice place for a picnic after checking out the platypus earlier.

No skinnydippers seen - I think Dan's been geocaching for too long!! Maybe he should be sent to work in the mines.
Left karabiner (don't use for mountain climbing).
Took geocoin.

Our first find!! and nearly a FTF. Definitely worth the drive.
