Geocache find: No. 29

Last few days in Melbourne!

Had me searching about for a while! Found it and had to be wary of muggles waiting for trams and walking past. Nice church and thanks for bringing me to this corner of Melbourne!

Geocache find: No. 28

Last geocache attempted before returning to Singapore tomorrow! Found it nice and had a good walk through the forest. Saw a little trail from the track and followed it to the location. We did Pepper already so we decided to alight at the road and make a beeline for the cache. Cache crawling with ants so we did some cleaning up and shook the ants off.

No sign of the travel bug though.

Geocache find: No. 27

Visiting Perth from Singapore to spend Christmas with the cousins. Took an early morning walk with them to find this geocache. Great day and beautiful morning. Found the geocache with "Tammygirl".

Checked out the nice house and the surroundings. Cache was easy to locate and in a good location.

Checked on the cache today. It's still there, but perhaps the next geocacher can camouflage it a little more. Smile

Popped by the cache today. Cache is still in its hiding place, waiting to be found since its re-location.

By the way the hint was changed when I updated the coordinates. The old hint was: "Two circles and a dot on the root of the tree, find you must or you'll never find thee."

Happy finding! Smile

Playground Bounty is back online! Coordinates have been shifted to another park because the original park is insecure with hiding places fragile.

Please, please, pretty please, return the geocache as you found it and camouflage it well, in the spirit of geocaching. Thanks a lot!

Happy finding! Smile

Geocache find: No. 22 Smile

Found this cache today with my cousin (tammygirl) on a nice sunny friday evening. GZ was deserted except for a single jogging muggle. Luckily we came early enough or the place would have been swamped by other muggles jogging!

The evening before our departure to Singapore we decided to attempt this one. I brought a team of 6 other people, 5 cousins and an aunt, including ''tammygirl'' and ''geocaching1_0'' who were on their 2nd geocaching hunt. Big Grin

The first clue had us scratching our heads because we had reached GZ and we were trying hard to match the clue given with what we could see but it was difficult to try to locate the hidden cache. Finally I found it! Razz

Quickly punching in the coordinates for the final cache, we scrub-bashed the last way through to the final GZ. One of my cousins found it.

We enjoyed ourselves on this one, and I was suprised by the fact that we had young geocachers on this trip, 3 being around 6 years old but we managed to complete it! [^] Luckily we managed to get out to the carpark 5 minutes before the sun set or we might spend the night there.

This cache was 4km directly from where I was staying in Kalamunda but it took me an hour to and fro because I was not familiar with the area! [xx(]

Anyway, I set out in the evening around 6.30pm to search for the cache. Saw many nice views on the way and enjoyed my way there.

Cache was not very difficult to find, but it took a little undergrowth trampling as stated in the description. Nice hide for a cache.

Sad to say I couldn't stay to watch the sunset because getting back on foot would take me another hour. Reached back around 8.40pm seconds before it became dark. Smile

Anyway TFTC paddyk!

Found this cache on a Christmas Eve morning, together with 3 cousins, 1 of which lived in Kalamunda while the rest and I were visiting from Singapore.

We took hike for about half an hour to the cache location, but I forgot to log in the carpark coordinates so we had to find a trail to get in. Needless to say we got in finally. Big Grin

We found the first cache quite easily, and set out to find the final cache.

We went in down the wrong path initially because my cousin (who had no experience in GPS) was holding the GPSr and was leading the way, while the rest of us were trailing behind.[XX] Luckily I discovered that we were off course (by 60m).

Back-tracked and went down the correct trail and jungle-bashed (ok not really but we trampled on the undergrowth) to the final cache and found it! This is the largest geocache I have found btw. Razz

A very nice location for the geocache; we would not have ventured into this area if not for the cache.

And we all loved your Congratulations cards! An exciting find for us.

TFTC arlorggen! Smile Merry Christmas to you!

We took a long drive from Kalamunda to Denham, a total of 11 hours, from 4am to 3pm! I attempted this cache on our 2nd day in the area. Unfortunately we were too late to catch the dolphin feed. Luckily we got up early the next day and visited Eagle Bluff before heading for the dolphins. Headed out with a few relatives for fishing before reaching back and getting back to watch the dolphins get fed. I got to feed one! Very friendly dolphins that are used to human interaction and swim a metre from shore!

Nice area for the virtual cache.

Edited: This is my 10th cache!

Arrived here in Perth at 0715 hrs in the morning, picked up by my uncle and back to my cousin's house. They're residents here by the way. We decided to check out the local geocaches in the surrounding area as soon as I got a satellite fix outside their house.

Found this one to be around a 1km walk away, so on a cloudless blue-sky day we set off in the late morning. Walked through the bushes and roads, with my cousin leading the way, but it was unfortunate that I could not find any recently updated maps of this area so it was quite a walk to the cache.

Anyway, an easy cache to find, being my *FIRST* international geocache out of Singapore and also my first in Australia! Loved the small park and saw a few kids shifting some peat around.
