Luckily we arrived before any big crowds so were able to take care of business easily. We read the comments of others and realized it was not going to be in sight. You chose a great place for interest and we enjoyed reading all the history. This area is especially beautiful and I'm sure all who visit will enjoy it. Thank you. gerty

Thank you for the great cache hide. We loved walking the trail, reading the boards and learning more about Yungaburro. This is our,Yellow Bug and my, second visit to the area. We were amused by a large cuckaburra who swooped down letting us know we were in his/her territory. We took several pictures, one of a basking turtle on the William weir and several of the flowered, antique pickup. We have the lizard from Mead TB and will place it within the next two weeks. After reading that it wants to go around the world, we thought it's chances would be good as we have world travelers visiting daily.

This cache was too good to pass up as we are both retired teachers. I continued looking and found it. (Yellow Bug is my partner)The walk to and from the cache was so interesting with unusual trees/vines entwined and beautiful bird calls being new to us. We both enjoy photography so we took several pictures along the way. This is our 2nd trip to Lake Barrine and we found it just as lovely. The food tasted sooo good at the restaurant. Your story idea is brilliant and was lots of fun in which to participate. We took nothing but left a few words to the story. Good luck on future publishing!! gerty from the Big Island

This was delightful to find. Forgot to sign the log book. Took nothing but left some shell necklaces. If you have a few crumbs of food there was a darling pair of feathered critters looking for a handout. Food where it reads, Dam...!Good food was outstanding. The lamb tenderloin was delicious.
Great cache, lovely area, ENJOY! gerty from Hawaii.

Hi There,
This was a team effort. I was the navigator and lookout for this one. I wasn't able to swim over because I was the decoy. We did this as subtle as we could. I can imagine what people were thinking when Yellow Bug was hidden. Only I knew why. This is a very busy place and I wonder if it's too busy for a cache. One of the trails was closed so we couldn't go around. Your clue was helpful. Thanks for a fun and laughable memory. gerty

It was quite a hike up all the steps, but worth the view. Got some great pics of Cairn's Airport and the harbor. Looked hard for cassowaries but didn't see any this time. Did see some bush turkeys. Left nothing but am taking Single Die TB. Thanks for the great hike, a chance to see a place we probably wouldn't have visited plus the chance to enjoy the most delicious waffle imaginable. The waitress was surprised when we told her we had heard about the B. Garden and the wonderful waffles in Hawaii. gerty
It's been fun finding Australia's caches. The coodinates are always right on and the caches are in interesting places. Driving gets a bit hairy as we aren't used to left side of the road driving. This was a lovely place and the birds (kind?) sang the most melodious sounds for us the entire time we examined the cache contents and journaled. We also saw a Ulysees butterfly by the water. Thanks for the great hide. gerty from Hawaii

Wow! Delightful drive to this one and what interesting history as we took the tour!!! Enjoyed every bit of this which included; great food, native dance, ingenious ideas, etc. Would not have visited this place without a cache to log. Thank you for listing this. LOVED IT!

Hi Geopam,
I accompanied Yellow Bug to this one. We had so much fun trying to find it and nearly went into a pasture. Of course we visited the nearby Curtain Fig tree and saw a bush turkey. It would not cooperate for a decent photo. We may have enticed some new geocachers from Utah; a biologist from Utah Univ. traveling with her children and husband. We met some delightful people along the way, one a travel agent in Yungaburra and three scuba divers at Lake Eacham. It was tempting to go for a swim. We were delighted to chat with Tom who was very knowledgable about AU. He seemed disappointed not to have met others but said he was working when anyone came to inquire. We told him his picture would be international, now. He laughed. He mentioned how nice you, geopam, were. First cache in AU.for me. We hope to do more here. Thanks for the great cache. gerty
