Second cache of the day, and for Australia! Had some other friends along for this one - their first cache! Cool place... though based on the notes I was expecting something a little darker or more menacing. At least there is some preservation of the memories here.

Thought the cache was litter at first.. might do well to label the container or this one might wind up in a trash basket... excuse me.. rubbish container (working on my Aussie!! Smile )

Thanks for the cache and a beautiful spot I would not have found otherwise!

My first cache Down Under! After a long time of being too busy to geohunt, I find myself on the business trip in Sydney with my GPS!! Cool. Brought my boss along for the hunt (her first). Excellent hiding place, beautiful surroundings.. what can I say?

Took leather boot keychain and die, left US coins and something else, now forgotten (papers were lost later in botanical gardens... a block or so away and certainly an awesome visit)

Thanks for the cache! Come to Alabama and cache with us soon!

Well, now. Been there. Done that. Will upload pics later after developing and scanning. We had grand illusions for the day, renting a car and heading out from the resort to find the 'Mayan Shipwreck' - which we failed to do... well - we found the shipwreck - just not the cache. Anyway, that's an entry for another log. Since this one was nearby, we thought we'd like to have a success experience.. and we did! Neat place - absolutely gorgeous over the water. In retrospect we should have purchased a guided tour, as it turned out that we missed out on more than we realized about these ruins... BUT.. we were in a rush to do some shopping. Once you near the actual pinpoint location of this cache, it becomes pretty obvious where the reading was taken... so that's where we took our picture. Thanks for the cool idea of the 'virtual' geocache... I took some readings at another ruin and may add one myself...! Oh and as a first for us - although I am logging this on 12/11/01, our visit was on 12/1/01.. so this was our first time to be the first at a cache!!! For the record, we did not find it to be crowded on the day of our visit - as I recall it was 2:00-ish in the afternoon.
