Logs for mac n wellies

We thought it was about time we attempted a few more in this series which we first started in April 2015. A quick find on a dry but very cold morning. TFTC.

Came back twice to this one. It was our last day in Oz so we had plenty of spare time to sit and search, but no luck. Is it still there? Anyway the weather and the views were great.

Booked for a trip around the Opera House and while we were waiting we reckoned we had time to find Angry Koala. The park area was well worth a visit and we soon had the cache location in our sights. The obligatory muggle was sitting close to the cache but looking the other way. Took Geocoin. Decided this box would be large enough to leave the Red Dragon TB we had been showing all around Oz. Drat! we had left it in the hotel so we had to return the next day with it. TFTC.
Another pleasantly hot day in Sydney. We thought we would stroll around slowly and bag any caches we passed on route. Surprising how high you have to climb to reach the next road near the Rocks area. Located the nano easily enough but locating anywhere to write was much harder! Urgently needs a new log. TFTC.
Didn't think we would manage this one as it is such a busy spot but you do disappear in a crowd. Nearly gave up until I dislodged it and it fell to the ground. I retrieved it and after logging the find, carefully replaced it hoping it wouldn't fall again. It was OK. TFTC.
Although the area was nothing special it was nice to have a straight-forward, muggle free cache in an area we would not have visited otherwise.TFTC.
Put this in the GPS 4 weeks earlier in the UK, hence did not see it was disabled. Anyway, after doing some food shopping at Woolies decided to look for this and located it without any problems. I'm not sure what the problem was but it seems OK now. Replacing the container was a little more problematical as the muggle activity increased greatly.TFTC.
We took the picture with Mrs Wellies at Sir Arthur. So it's elementary it has to be "The Hound of the Baskervilles" Watson. Great City shame we are going back to the UK and its winter weather in a couple of days.

After cruising Sydney Harbour from the water and all the other touristy things we set out to get our first cache in Sydney. Locating it was no problem but waiting for a muggle free moment was a nightmare. One Oriental girl even stopped to ask if we needed help as we pretended to study our paperwork. We certainly noticed how pleasant everyone was that we met in Oz. Eventually we just did the deed and then carried on for a walk over the bridge. TFTC.

We only had a short time in Kuranda so we dashed off through the hippy market to the start of the path. It very hot and Mrs Wellies wasn't to keen on this dashing about in the heat! When we located where the path began a notice indicated that the path was closed! Ah! Mrs Wellies thought we can relax in the village now. Wrong - off to the other end of the path and a notice there also suggested the path was closed ahead. Having come this far I just had to check if we could reach GZ. We could and although the GPS was erratic and there were signs of burning on the bank, a likely location was spotted and we soon had the cache. Another mad dash back up the hill to Kuranda, a quick kangaroo pie and we caught our transport with minutes to spare. Mrs Wellies was not amused! TFTC.

As we woke up at 4am again decided to go for an early morning walk on the beach and perhaps bag a cache before breakfast. It was another hot sunny day and the muggles were thin on the ground thank goodness. A fisherman had set up not far away but was not looking our way. Once we had the container some muggles arrived and we had to go into photo mode while they spent ages taking in the scenery. A beautiful spot if you ignore the jelly fish, crocodiles and falling coconuts! TFTC.

What a wonderful place for a cache. I was so pleased that we had the time to locate this one. There was a thunderstorm rolling round the skies as we set off from the hotel and it was coming our way. By the time we reached the location the lightning was flashing all around and Mrs Wellies was convinced she was going to be a conductor but we had come too far to give up now. As GZ was a small hill in an open area I did not hang around and did the log in double quick time. By the time we returned to the hotel we were dripping wet. TFTC.TNLN.

Our second find in Adelaide a lovely city. After doing a bit of sightseeing I switched on the GPS and followed its directions to GZ where a muggle sat passing the time of day with a cigarette. Foiled - we decided to try again later. Next day the coast was clear and we bagged it! TFTC.TNLN.

The GPS was erratic at GZ so we reverted to Cacher's eye and soon had it spotted. Even though it was fairly quiet muggles made it difficult to retrieve and replace it. The pub looked enticing but time was against us. TFTC.

After a pleasant morning walk around the old docks we headed to GZ. It was overshadowed by building works but muggle free and secluded. The cache was found fairly quickly. TNLN. TFTC.
An early exploration of Melbourne Docks after missing the previous nights sleep due to our overnight flight here. A cool breeze at first but the temperature rose as the day progressed. A very interesting collection of sculptures round the old docks. Not many muggles around at this time of the morning. We located the cache easily with the hint. Checked out the mosaic afterwards.TFTC. Nice spot.
