Rmengineer and I went the long way home through Mountain Home so we could find this old one. As I was taking a picture of Rmengineer and Buttercup, a girl opened her car window and yelled "Ride that gorilla!" at us. That was funny.

Spectacular. We hiked in from Pennies from Heaven. If there was a path, we didn't take it. Love this cache, so happy to have found it. I was here a year ago with my sister and didn't want to make her drive 40 miles from where we were staying but this year I stayed a lot closer.

We took a day off from doing the Santa Fe Trail geotour to find a couple of special caches today. It was cloudy, windy and 55 degrees as we left Garden City, KS. We passed a lot of giant feedlots, endless plains and the occasional grain elevator on the horizon. Soon we arrived and made the find -- couldn't miss it! Later a Kansas geocacher told us that no one really knows who the Kansas Stasher was. ??? Thanks for all those who maintain it.

We wandered around a while before finding the right way in. I seem to remember seeing it as it was from Thompson Lane.

The Y was absolutely packed today. We enjoyed discovering the virtual cache and seeing Clover Bottom through the trees. Email sent already.

We set out on a cool and misty morning on the lake in search of treasures like this ancient cache. Thanks to Lakebum for keeping it going and to GS&CC for a wonderful day. I dropped some TB's to travel onwards.
