Found at 3:15pm NZ local time. Took a wee while as I went down to the lower track then had to climb up the hill. Much easier going down from the top. Tramper Ted logged visit the same day but didn't see him.
Nice to re-visit this reserve. TNLNSL.
 

Found it without GPS. I logged in as TNLN but found an english 10 pound phone card on the floor of my car after, which must have fallen out. It contains quite a lot of stuff including 2 travel bugs and was not properly closed (lucky no rain for ages). I'll try and put the phone card back on a later visit.
