Logs for mudlark

Tried this one while staying at Queenstown Millenium Hotel. The walk from the hotel was exercise in itself, especially since I hadn't carefully read the cache page and strayed badly from the most direct route. In any case, I finally got into the right area, per the hints, and searched the area, but had to give up the search in the failing light as the sun set providing a beautiful Queenstown view. I enjoyed the hunt anyway. Cheers!

Here from Canada on tour. Using local internet cafes, I've managed to locate a few caches along the way. I was quite surprised to have this one listed as being less than 300 ft away! Loaded co-ordinates and off I went. Good location, and while there were muggles around, you can retrieve the cache discreetly if you are patient. Took a US $1.00 bill, and left $1.30 Canadian. TFTC!

Came in from Auckland today for an overnight stay at Millenium Hotel. Walked over and found it easily. Took TB # 560938 and left (TB) Poppy Puppy. He has had a successful run, having visited war memorials in Melbourne, Alice Springs, Sydney, Cairns, Auckland and Rotorua. Fare well, Poppy Puppy, "Lest We Forget." And of course, thanks for the cache.

Passing through Auckland while on tour. Visiting from Canada. Tried this one after success with Surgical Surprise I. Many muggles sunning in the area. I managed to check out a couple of likely spots, but was beginning to attract too much attention. Beautiful park and a great location for a cache. Also, after attempting this cache, I've figured out that it's best to hunt caches in city parks in rainy weather! Cheers!
Passing through Auckland on a tour and had some time for caching while better half shopped (Thank God for caching! ). After visiting the museum/war memorial for photos for "Never Forget - Poppy Puppy" Travel Bug, I set off in search of this cache. GPSr got me into the right area quickly, but once close, location started bouncing around a bit. Fortunately there was only one person on a smoke break nearby, and while my activities attracted his attention, he wasn't so concerned as to stick around. Found the cache within 5 minutes or so and logged in. TFTC!

With the help of TheGirl,... and Sarah, we found it. Sarah had moved it indoors after someone gave her some bad info about information on the cache page. We helped her out there and it should be good to go, in the proper location, very soon. Location was great. Make sure you have time to visit the Reptile Center! TNLNSL. Thanks.

Woo-hoo! First cache in a different hemisphere! TheGirl and I are here on vacation, and, naturally, caching is included. After a morning tour of Melbourne we had some time to kill before an evening tour to Pillips Island to watch the penguins. Took the City Circle tram to the area and the GPSr quickly picked up a good signal, but the signal stregth varied as soon as we moved away from the park. In any case, we were soon in the area, which was crawling with muggles. We checked out the cache page and TheGirl twigged to it right away. Now it was just a matter of time for us to make the find. Not easy. The 2 smokers left, followed by a steady stream of passers by. When I moved in, I took a guess and found it first try. It was hard to get out of place and we were surpised by a muggle who appeared suddenly. We signed the log, waited for an opportunity, and I replaced the cache. We bagged it, but this one is near impossible to do with any sort of discretion during week days. TFTC!
