Logs for namenots 

Nice day & great view for Hermie who loves mountains. Feel a bit guilty forgetting Hermie so long & not setting him on his way...but keen to follow what he gets up to. 

Easy to find on crash barrier next to reflective arrow sign. As previous logs mention the mags could do with some new tape to hold them on. 

Trackable Hermie visiting Totara North, Aotearoa with Ohakiri (Saint Paul's) in the background. Ohakiri is a volcanic plug & one of the most prominent peaks in Aotearoa's Far North. Not a real mountain but hopefully Hermie enjoyed sighting it anyway. 

Found a nest looking feature exactly at GPS coords on top of (one of) highest rock islets...but no container. 

Cache container too small to place "Hermie" in (trackable we're helping get to Queenstown) but boys enjoyed searching to find small tin tucked in its dry den. Onetangi on stunning sunny day. 

Took time to read plaque on immediately adjacent boulder in tribute to a capable & much respected Kiwi bloke. 

TFTC. Needed to dry out the damp container & its contents a little on a nice sunny winter's afternoon....great views of Pa'aku with high tide. Wonder who is going to find trackable Hermie...just squeeze his back legs a wee bit to get them out through the lid.
