Celebrating my 20 years of Geocaching by finding the oldest Cache in PA. You'd think after 20 years I'd know a thing or two about finding caches. Nope.
I was wise enough not to approach this straight on from the bridge, but instead of cutting into the woods at a location that seemed to be a geo-trail, I decided to walk somewhat past the cache in hopes of avoiding all water.
The good news is I avoided the water, I didn't avoid the stickers, fallen branches, briars and some super muddy parts. After 5 minutes or so I made it to the final location. Logged in and then took the geo-trail back to the main path where Jo.Cap and Geo-Nat were patiently waiting for me.

Visited with Jo.Cap and Geo-Nat. I really enjoyed this historic location.

At this point in our journey around Nebraska, Colorado and Kansas we had over 1300 miles logged, 125 caches found and 1 solar eclipse in the books.
While finding this oldie was one of our key targets for our road trip, the forest of sunflowers is what made Jo.Cap the happiest. And what makes Jo.Cap happy make me happy. If it's the oldest active cache in the world and a field of sunflowers, I'm fine with that. All in all, this was just another cache in our journey.

I could share I've found this cache before, but if so it was so long ago. Regardless, I never logged it on-line, so today I'll make it official. Stopped by with Jo.Cap after working a 1/2 day and took a walk around the lake. Thanks.

A hot and humid day for Jo.Cap and Geo-Nat to be hanging out in The City to find a few caches. Our primary destination was Roosevelt Island for the Wherigo, but of course, we found all of the caches along the way. Including this one, which was found without too much trouble. Initially, we weren't sure what the middle was, but based on several previous logs, this one wasn't a problem to get beck into "the middle" Thanks!

A day and night of fun in the magic kingdom for Jo.Cap, Geo-Nat and myself. Thanks for the virtual cache.

Team "Bek-theraccoon" contacted me to help log the New York City leg of this journey.
It was a nice walk for me from my office on Park Ave.
Thanks at all team for this experience and thanks to bek-theraccoon and FizzyMagic for this opportunity.
Thanks to the CO for this fun Wherigo.

Another visit on my EarthCache day tour of Liberty State Park.
It was very windy today and I didn't see any birds along the shore. I enjoyed this location, and tried to take a couple of pictures until my camera blew over! LOL

I was out on International EarthCache day to follow the trail of EC's around Liberty State Park.
This one was a little more difficult for be to decipher. I had the nagging feeling that I was looking at something that was somewhat man-made, or at least influenced by man's actions. While this maybe true, it if proof that every thing on the Earth does effect each other. Today was very windy, and while the temperatures were pleasant, there were no bird or other wild life to be seen for that matter. In fact, even the humans were hiding today.
