made a special trip up here from Sacramento for this venerable oldie. My- what a straight and boring road to drive. Got to gz and stood thinking for a while, not like a bird but like a cacher, then got it and then really got it. tftc and for keeping it alive.

so nice to come here and see the views from this wonderful bridge. got the hairy eyeball from the controller in the cabin, but he must have seen others investigating the white minus, tftc
nice but very windy walk along the wall to the spot, after having tried to access the area from other directions, but could not get closer than 100m. the view in all directions was spectacular. the only problem we have is the price of admission which was a bit ridiculous, but probably not more so than any other prices for anything bought in the old town. Most expensive coffee since Venice, and it was cold. tftc

nice to walk around the area below the bridge which we have not done before. managed to avoid the sailors selling boat rides, tftc

Quite a walk around to find the access point, then a nice tour through the area- lots of dragons found, tftc

sitting around at an event, we decided this cache was a must do. The original plan was to come through Belgium to this cache, but the plan soon changed to a road trip to get 6 countries in a day, and then move on for a few more. Ultimately we toured through 9 countries in a week, a distance of 3000km and had a great time, but this cache was the highlight. such a thrill to find the oldest in Europe, not counting Ireland. tftc and for keeping it alive. it seems that time has not been too kind to the stump, and the box has suffered a bit too, but I suppose we are all getting older. tftc and a fp. as we were leaving we met German cachers just stopping for the find, and had a passing car hoot so they were probably also aware of what we were doing

Read the logs and had a pretty good idea of what to expect, which turned out to be correct. tftc

After 15 years of living in and around London, finally made it for a visit today. We have so much for which to thank geocaching, and this was another stunning example. The Church has so much to show, and a good stiff climb up to the top through all those narrow little passages was a bonus. The view today was spectacular as visibility was excellent and the trip ultimately better than going for a flight on the wheel as there were no time constraints. Pity no photos inside. And a virtual tb too. tftc and a favourite point.
was initially quite flummoxed about the author as the nearby burger joint also has an authors name, but then spotted the info. have to be on the right side of the track, tftc, email sent and accepted

really interesting piece of art. Wondered if it was ever functional, would have expected the horn part to pick up sound and transfer down to the listening hole, but all we could hear was the motorway traffic. Email sent for self and pippitt, tftc

how weird, got the cache, admired the view of the pond and on arrival home watched GB vs Canada curling- sad loss. Would have liked to do the cache near the pond but the day was turning really ugly with ++++ wind and rain-enough is enough, tftc.
