Logs for quoll_aus

12-Apr-13
Revisiting the cache after about a year and showing some friends an example of a cache. Still a nice location.

TFTC

07-Oct-12
Nice location, but alas DNF.

Interesting hide. TFTC.

EZ. Lots of traffic at the pool. TFTC.

Classy container. EZ find. TFTC.

EZ. TFTC.

20-Aug-12
Find number 50! TFTC.

Smaller fingers would have made it easier to extract the cache. Thanks for the cache.

Council truck was parked right next to GZ but drove off as I approached. Very helpful instruction. TFTC.

Looks like they are resurfacing the tennis courts so lots of workers around. Didn't look.

The log is in _really_ tight. TFTC.

Pretty sure was at the right place. Hate putting my hands where I can't see. DNF.

Having read the other logs might have to go back for another look.

A stick found nearby came in handy. TFTC.

Easy-Peasy. TFTC.

Not a kid, so had to look up all the answers except "Jimmy Giggle’s best buddy". Easy find. TFTC.

Neighbours were chatting on the porch, so only cursory search. Judging from the logs I will have to revisit.

May have torn ziplock bag when opening it. TFTC.

19-Aug-12
Returned after reading the hint and all the logs. How sneaky! Never seen one like that before. Signed log. Thanks very much for the cache.

Lots of dog walkers. Thought I might have got it when I found a small piece of painted wood wedged between the slats, but alas DNF.

Baffle and I both materialised at GZ at the same time, bright yellow receivers in hand. First time I have encountered a fellow cacher Smile

Hide was a bit harder than the average Fab Feb caches nearby. TFTC.

Another easy one. Thanks for the cache.

EZ find. Just had to wait for a break in the traffic. TFTC.

18-Aug-12
Busy road, bustops on both sides of the road. Needed a twig to extract the container. TFTC.

I liked the camo too. TFTC.

Almost in plain sight. EZ find. TFTC.

Utterly failed to extract the log, despite having a small pair of tweezers. Left a larger piece of paper. TFTC.

Got a lucky break in the dog-exerciser traffic. Instructions spot on. A little moisure in container, but log dry. TFTC.

"Sort of" median strip on a local street. Fortunately traffic light and EZ find. TFTC.

In plain sight exactly as per description. TFTC.

EZ although tree tried to poke me in the eye. TFTC.

24-Jun-12
Bark looks well picked at. Alas DNF.

Morley Drive was blocked off, a police bus was parked just next to the location and officers were assigned to keep people off the road. Apparently they were doing some tests which involved repeatedly running a police wagon thru the Morley Dve / Alexander Dve intersection. Perhaps related to the recent crash there involving a police wagon.

No stealth possible, so did not try.

30-Apr-12
Second visit after reading the online logs. Made GZ as S 37 08.996 E 144 14.167 Container damp but log dry. The hide would make a nice lair for wildlife Sad TFTC.

Nice walk in on the Great Dividing Track. Cache really catches the eye, so much so that there are a few "found by accident" entries in the log. TFTC.

28-Apr-12
Nice country cemetery. Looked at some of the gravesites until two lots of caretakers left. TFTC.

Imposing mineshaft. Was "bitten" a couple of times by the blackberrys. TFTC.

TNLN TFTC.

Yep, it is an unusual intersection. TFTC.

11-Feb-12
GPS bouncing around. Is it the plaque, the health centre or the playground equipment? Then Mum sat down to read the paper. Next time.

The obvious tree had a shirt in it. Thought I had a pretty good poke around but DNF.

Caught a glimpse fairly soon. Added more covering. TFTC, SL.

So much activity nearby yet seems sort of isolated. Slightly worried about sudden drop-offs. GPS kept changing it's mind. DNF.

31-Dec-11
Only 2 likely places and soon found. My GPS read 15m at GZ. SL TFTC.

2nd visit. Could have sworn I looked there last time. Contains fresh log. SL TFTC.

Too many muggles and no luck with superficial search.

Good grief! There are hundreds of metal bolts near GZ. And the other logs saying it was a pretty easy find. Oh well, next time...

2nd visit after reading all the logs. It still posed a challenge. Thanks for this one Robots. It is the best out of 24 finds.
