Caching with the Swedding to the Oldies - Red Rock group. Twelve of us are out and about targeting oldies, virtuals, challenges, earthcaches, favourites, webcams and many more along the way.
Wow - an epic adventure for an epic cache! swed31 sent the call out months ago to see if anyone wanted to go to Utah to get this cache. People immediately started signing up and for the last couple months most of us were watching this cache page to see what was going on with the gates and snow. Thankfully the first gate was open AND most of the snow had melted by the time we got here. We parked at the gate and headed for the water crossing. HubbyG went first, carefully crossing the wet slippery water covered bridge. When we realized how slippery it was, the rest of us opted for a creek crossing bare footed or with wet shoes or water shoes. After that the tree crossing and the hike to GZ up a fairly steep hill was fairly easy. We quickly found the cache and celebrated the Quad and Triple Jasmers in our group, and the overall accomplishment for all of us. We celebrated with chocolate, took some pics and headed back down. It's amazing that there are only 4 caches in the world from Aug/00 and now I have 3 of them.
THANK YOU for keeping this oldie up and running all these years. We had a great time!

On a road trip from Toronto, Canada targeting Oldies, virtuals and a few other caches along the way. Today is a big day for me, with four must have oldies on the list, including this one. I Thanks for keeping this oldie going! Nice area - glad they allow the cache to remain.

On a road trip from Toronto, Canada targeting Oldies, virtuals and a few other caches along the way. Today is a big day for me, with four must have oldies on the list, including this one from Aug/00. This is the last one I needed for my double Jasmer - having found Sep/00 earlier today. What a beautiful area - enjoyed the drive in and more importantly, finding the cache. Thanks for keeping this oldie going all these years!

On a road trip from Toronto, Canada targeting Oldies, virtuals and a few other caches along the way. This was one of my must have caches. Took a few minutes to find as it was a bit further in than expected. I see it has since been repositioned. Dropped a couple TBs. Thanks for keeping this oldie going! Almost 20 years! TFTC!

Headed north from the Mall for lunch at Luke's (yum), grabbing a few more caches before heading back down. This was a stop along the way.

Teamed up with garball to work on this multi. Stage two was fairly close to my home, so I walked over before jumping on the subway and heading to work one morning this week.
What a great concept for a multi and an interesting way to team up with folks from across the world. Thanks garball for contacting me, and Uncle Sam for an interesting and inventive cache.

Well - almost didn't make it here today! Visiting from Toronto, we started the day in Squamish and headed straight here before going to Seattle for a couple days. We left early, got caught in Vancouver rush hour traffic, but were slated to arrive around 11. Unfortunately we came upon an accident which blocked both lanes about 11 km before the Monte Cristo parking. The officer at the scene said it may take 1 - 1 1/2 hours to tow the car up from the embankment. My muggle hubby thought we should head to Seattle, but I suggested we wait see what happened. Luckily things went well, the car was up and out in 20 minutes or so. Also lucky - no one was injured although the car was down an embankment and on it's roof. Anyway - we had an enjoyable walk to this wonderful oldie and made the find.
Thanks for keeping this old guy going! Another spot filled on my Jasmer!
