This was my second trip to this cache with a different group, This time 4 boys aged about 11, while we were camping in the area. It was a great experience for them to find the site, and give them an introduction to the vagaries of a GPS!

We drove up a little 4WD track starting near the carpark, and got a bit closer before heading out on foot.

Definitely 4WD though.

Very interesting site.

Nice cache to finish off a day of geocaching. 5 finds for the day.

Took kite, left paintbrush.

Today we took friends along, and found they were better at finding caches than us, but they had more kids as well, which really helps.

First cache for the day.

Found my first travel bug, and yes, I will log it.

Took Batman Torch, Left surfboard wax comb.

Second cache for the day.

TNLN.

Great trek with 5 children, 2 Adults, 2 GPS's

We commented that the 2 GPS provided a level of comfort out there in the scrub.

Took a group of 4WDers on a day trip and ended up here. A very interesting place and definitely worth a visit. Took a matchbox car for one of the little children we had along and left a biro. Another girl in the group took a hair clip and a little egg thingy (that's how it was described to me!) and left 10 cents and a vegemite rubber.

Well Geocaching is all good fun isn't it. We went on a 4wd trip through the area, and thought we'd introduce some friends to geocaching while we were there. I loaded the lat/long into my Oziexplorer software and uploaded it, together with trip note lat/longs, into my GPS. We looked for it but didn't find it since the datum in the software was different to that of the GPS and it converted it without me checking it. So we were out by about 200 metres Sad On the positive side, the spot that the GPS thought was correct (S31 32.227 E115 48.871) was a bit higher up on the peak of the hill with a track right to it. The view from there was excellent, especially around lunchtime in the middle of a thunderstorm. An excellent lunch spot for those doing the "4WD Days out of Perth" trip. To top it off, later in the day the kids accidentally found another cache, which we identified as one of the caches in the multicache called Pompeys Puzzled Path, so it wasn't a lost geo-day after all!

We were not looking for this cache, but our children accidentally found one of clues while we were out 4WDing and watching the view. Going by the clues presented I assume itys the one relating to the third line of the rhyme. We missed out on finding another cache earlier in the day (Pinjar Pimple), and then this one turned up so the geo-day wasn't totally lost! And to think that a few weeks ago we had never heard of geocaching! We did the puzzle and noted the next clue in case we are up this way again sometime and decide to do the rest of it. We rehid the clue a little better so hopefully not too many accidental finds will be made.

Our first find!!! Great Views. So excited we forgot to take photos Sad
Our family of 6 made the walk up the hill following the kangaroo tracks and came back down again heading west straight down the hill from the cache and then meeting up with the bridle path again. This was a bit easier.
Took: A pair of scissors, and batteries (figured they'd go flat if left there too long) Left 2 little 'Mr Men' from McDonalds.
