Logs for thealphabets

Just a short drive off the main road to get here was a very easy one near the end of our full day of geocaching with AC and D of our team, together with the bell-fullers. Thanks for bringing us here, wirzwei Smile

We (c,d and a from our team with the bell-fullers) enjoyed our picnic at this peaceful spot. Not another soul around. The cache was very clever and we all enjoyed its construction. The bull-rushes were seeding and looked amazing.

We love this park, and are pleased that everything looks largely restored Smile The cache is in a great spot, nice and private and near another little park on the side that we didn't know existed. Thanks for the cache. Its a pity it was not too full, so we added a few swappable's for kiddies Smile It was a,c and d from our team with the bell-fullers.

It's not a bush, not a shrub, it's a...... treeee!
After just a little confusion, we trampled through some grass and grabbed the cache. The kids enjoyed the swaps. It's a good size container, with a bit of space for more goodies for kids here. It was c, d and a from our team together with the bell-fullers. Smile

Our 3rd cache for the day, took us to a beautiful little lake filled with flowering lillypads! It was rather magical. It would be nice to have found this lookout before grabbing lunch so that we could have settled in and enjoyed the peace. Thanks for the cache. It was a,c, and d from our team together with the bell-fullers.

Big Grin

We (abcd and e) got there and we were very lucky to find it after only 1 360' circumnavigation of gz. This is an amazing tree and the nooks and crevices in it are just magical, and Im sure fairies and gnomes are not to far away Smile There are lots of little palm trees around that its hard not to trample them, but we tried to walk lightly. We liked the container. The log is slightly damp, but still fine.

We took some and left some treasures for the kids.

Little D of our team took us (b, e and c) straight here because he had been here with egginthesky before. This cache is in part of the park where a game of soccer could be enjoyed. Its near a bamboo grove that is so fascinating. We have never seen anything like this particular bamboo before, it looked like it had bottle green paint drips running down it. It was hard to believe that it wasn't man made! Its worth going there to take a closer look and enjoy mother nature's sense of humour!! hehe!

The cache is there and in a clever hiding spot, however the log is wet and not usable, so we couldn't make our mark on it. I would love to see someone adopting this and fixing it up to ensure its legacy lives on. There are also no marking on the bottle to indicate co-ordinates. I would hope anyone who has successfully completed this series, if they could write the original clue on the bottle again.

Great little cache around where our car went in for service, otherwise wouldn't have gone out there. Easy to find - thanks for kid friendly cache Smile Just c out of alphabets with egginthesky (our last cache together b4 she flew away)

At last!!! Something must be wrong with egginthesky and us! We went there so many times for 5 minutes each time. High muggle paranoia resulting from traffic. Its very hard to look "in place" here. We tried under it, over it, around it, on top of it, behind it....ended up with spider webs in hair - and nothing. Eventually after a clue from the owner, we found it, though not before 10 minutes more hunting. Such noobs!!

It is well hidden and so far the best preserved cache - even has drying agent in it, which seems to help keep log crispy. Take your own pencil. Thanks so much Smile

This is a beautiful bushland - i just wish we had a mountain bike for the pathways...or better still shoes! My shoes had a catastrophe just as we arrived at the parking, and so i went barefoot...sharing a thong with egginthesky for relief. Thanks sis! Quite a foot massage. Here my dodgy gps pinpointed the gz precisely and looking around the hide was pretty obvious. Perhaps its not such a dodgy gps after all!

I'm not sure if this is just us, but in a weed free pristine bushland such as this (which is amazing to see after spending half our lives battling weeds on our property!) I do worry about foot traffic going too far off tracks for fear of disturbing soil and creating weed issues. Forgive my royal greeny-ness!!

The cache is ever so slightly damp, but otherwise great Smile Thanks Smile

We've been to this park so many times, but never ventured out to this part of it. I am so pleased its here because it is incredibly beautiful place for kids to run around, scream and let out a lot of energy in a peaceful, natural place! It is so well managed too. Its a great cache for the kids to find. It was E and C of the alphabets, with egginthesky coming along for the ride.

Thanks Smile

We found it! Easy to get to (with egginthesky), but tricky to find when already at GZ. Bear in mind its micro and have faith its not AWOL Smile

Great cache taking us to a spot we would otherwise not have gone to. PRE GOOGLE. PRE-SAVE details before visit as there is no reception past Haven road turnoff. I would suggest any foreign cars in this neighbourhood community look suspicious, so we were muggle -paranoid! The neighbour waited and watched us for a long time. We had to dash away and return a little while later - a neighbourhood watch nightmare. Not much space to turn around or park.

Good cache, love the area Smile

Found with egginthesky. Follow the clue and it should be easier. Careful parking here, a bit of a walk up a short hill, so not recommended when slippery and wet. I would suggest not recommended for small kids, unless there is an alternate access that we didn't find. Otherwise fun and good find.

The logbook was very damp after all this rain, so needs attention.

Thanks Smile

The first GC on mainland Smile With egginthesky, this had us truly hunting - driving up and down...over and over, waiting for some inspiration. SUDDENLY, after analyzing everything with numbers on, egginthesky had a bright spark idea Wink and we went directly to the right spot. This cache was so clever. Very difficult not to look suspicious at 5pm (home time) in suburbia though! We do wonder what the residents think. Thanks....we loved it.

This log was damp so needed some tlc.

Thanks Smile

Wow! B from thealphabets found it surprisingly quickly with a very crude driving gps. GPS located the spot almost precisely. The clue helped a lot, but we were almost stumped!! We loved this one - our first micro! Thanks Smile

Thanks for bringing us to this peaceful spot! As holiday makers we would not usually go here. It was a peaceful stroll, very interesting and good hiding spot Smile Thanks!!

Kids are hooked! We scrambled around and didnt take too long to find. Well hidden, and stunning place! We went back later for lunch at this peaceful spot. Not as many muggles as would be expected here. Thanks Smile

OUR FIRST EVER Geocache! It was a beautiful spot that we otherwise would never have found if it weren't for this cache. Didnt take long to locate. Kids were VERY excited by the treasures inside. Some toys swapped Smile Thanks!
