My wife and I are from Ohio visiting our daughter and her family in Alexandria. While hear one thing I wanted to do was get the oldest VA cache. About a year ago we came to the park for some fun, a train ride and a couple of caches. We found four caches and stopped one short of this one. Only about six months later did I find out how close to this cache we were. We came over today for a picnic and a couple of caches. After lunch we got one of the other caches and then came over for this one. As we approached GZ, I pointed out the hiding area. My granddaughters started to search and quickly found it . Wow!, how much fun. A favorite point for giving my granddaughters a good time and continuing this old cache. TFTC SL

My wife and I are on a cross country trip from Cleveland to GeoWoodstock 14er in Colorado in a round about way via some northern states, some Canadian provinces, and out to Seattle. GeoWoodstock is over and we are "heading home", again in a round-about way, through some of the southern states to finish off my 48 lower states. Our 25 day trip will cover 8,420 miles, 23 states and 4 Canadian provinces. We will find 4 new oldest state caches and one oldest provincial cache. I will find 7 Jasmer Challenge caches. As souvenirs, among other things, we picked up two chainsaw carved bears.
This was the last of the oldies we were trying to find. Quick find. TFTC SL

My wife and I are on a cross country trip from Cleveland to GeoWoodstock 14 in Colorado in a round about way via some northern states, some Canadian provinces, and out to Seattle. Today we are on our way from the Salt Lake City area to Green River, UT. We took the route suggested by one of the other caches. Only had to double back a couple of short distances to get on the right path. Got our feet just barely wet in crossing the stream, glad we wore our water proof hiking boots, but they don't work well when the water goes over the top. When we got close we started searching and found it. Yeah!!! Another oldest state cache off the list. Thanks for keeping it going. TFTC SL

On the way to GeoWoodstock XII with gmarkusic, MissLattitude, Geo-Sarge, LightHouseSeekers, Fivegreyhounds, The Bird House and my wife. We plan on visiting 13 states and a couple of Canadian Provinces. We paid particular attention to the oldest caches of each state. Boy, this was great finally visiting this oldest active cache. Saw a couple of other cachers as we drove up and then met some more cachers as we were signing it. Nice easy find. Let's make sure to keep this one going. TFTC SL

On the way to GeoWoodstock XII with gmarkusic, MissLattitude, Geo-Sarge, LightHouseSeekers, Fivegreyhounds, The Bird House and my wife. We are from the Cleveland, Ohio area and planned on visiting 13 states and a couple of Canadian Provinces in a roundabout trip before attending GeoWoodstock in St. Charles Missouri. Among many caches we aimed at oldest and favored ones and saw many great sites. Interesting spot and he had some interesting friends. Signed the logs Westward Ho's. TFTC SL

From Ohio came to do some Georgia caches with my son WINSLMA, from Charlotte. We met up with my sister, nwk_berlin and her friend LCSM, who organized this experience, visiting from upstate NY. We were also joined by georick402 from Maryland to do some of the Lake Lanier water caches. This was our second stop and probably the biggest reason for making the trek down here. Beached our boat and made our way to this historic cache. We had a great system going with WINSLMA and georick402 taking control of securing the boat and enabling the rest of us to keep our feet dry. Made our way to GZ and found after a short search. WooHoo!!! We just found the July 2000 cache that we all have been looking for. We all happily signed the log. TFTC

Drove down from Cleveland, OH and before attending GeoWoodstock, came down to the area specifically to do this one, Florida's oldest cache, with Geo-Sarge, gmarkusic and CherrySpawn. Took the long hike in and was attacked by the skeeters the whole way. Always happy to mark another "oldest state cache" off the list. Found this one and signed the log. Thanks for keeping this old one alive.

Visiting from the Cleveland, OH area with my son, WINSLMA, who is from Charlotte, NC. Found this after a short search and a long hike on our way out. It was a pleasure to come after this old cache. Thanks for keeping it going. No ATV, just O2F (our two feet) Dropped off a geocoin that I picked up in Germany. TFTC SL, may have signed log as Team WINS

This is a good place to start your visits to the Mayan ruins and the view of the Caribbean is beautiful, but it dwindles in comparison to Chichen Itza, Uxmal, or Coba. Thanks for bringing people here to get a picture of these amazing people.
