Logs for S & K

07-Nov-09
Windy day, but a good one for a walk on Bribie. Kids weren't keen on the return journey with a headwind! Took travelbug, signed log. TFTC

23-Sep-09
Had a fair idea where we would be looking once we got close... K spotted it to' (she's on fire!) TFTC

FOund this one on a visit to the old home town. As we parked, we notcied an approaching muggle. S engaged said muggle in casual converation and enjoyed the view (ha! it was the day of the dust storm!) which K and geokids made the find. TFTC

Not a good day for enjoying the surroundings (the midst of the dust storm), but we ticked this one off. Wasn't until the following day that the southerners were passing by tho'!

22-Sep-09
went for a stroll on a lovely day. K's find. TFTC

30-Aug-09
First find of the day! Managed to evade the muggles, signed log, replaced. TFTC

7th and final find of the day. K's find (S was a bit off the mark, approaching the GZ the hard way before giving up... slacker). Persistance pays off, and ultimately a quick find once K'd had a think about it. TFTC

Third one today, K had the GPS, but S made the snatch (he he). TFTC

4th find today, and Geokid C's first! Came across here for lunch.. had a barbie, spent a bit of time launching the kids' stomp rockets from the oval, then pulled the cache before we left. TFTC

No.6 for the day. Lovely drive down to this one... S enjoyed the road, kids enjoyed the scenery. K's find. TFTC

Keeping it in the family! 5th for the day. K's find... bit of a race for this one! Geokid J's retrieve. Few muggles, but we avoided them. View's a pearler! TFTC!

Our second one today. Geokid J's first find! Met the border collie, who isn't actually a muggle, but the guardian of the park... he lives nearby. His owner rumbled us, but she's been watching the stream of visitors to the park... she found the cache herself at one stage and has been on-line for a look at what it's all about... we might have another convert there...

16-Aug-09
This was our very first! 0940 find. Nice cache. TNLN, TFTC!

Standing here, and being an avid reader of some of what the late Evan Green wrote on the RedEx era, it was too easy to imagine the RedEx field streaming through the sunshine coast forests. I mentally blew up an outhouse in memory of Gelignite Jack Murray before searching for the cache. Also dreamed of following the entire route around one day.
