A beautiful day to visit a beautiful place.Found the cache well hidden but if you keep your eyes scanning across the ground you are bound to see the cache.Took the skipping rope and left a beautiful sea shell.

An early saturday morning stroll through the forest found the cache after 5 minutes searching .. it helps to have the correct datum dialed into your GPS .. unlike my last search !!! took nothing and left a sea shell i recently found on an uninhabited island in North Queensland

The cache was found at S 26° 40.643 E 153° 02.863 .. it would appear in the cache co ordinates the first decimal place in the easting should be an 8 and not a 6.

I live nearby so thinking this will be an easy one to find off i went for a Sunday morning stroll GPS in hand.
But of course lack of satelites was my downfall. It was a pleasant morning stroll though !
If you are going to visit this cache i recommend a detailed sky analysis of satelite location to ensure you have directly overhead satelites! The cache is in a rainforest gully with lots of tree cover.

With there being no surf at the point a trip to Brown Lake was in order and why not a cache search while there.
First a visit to Blue Lake for a swim.
Found the cache easily and in good order although not many goodies but that would be due to the lack of visitors.
Took a bottle sealer and plate hanger left 2 pens 20 cents headphones and a Savage Garden tape. The log book was duly filled out ... the cache was high and dry.
The end of another great week on the island

Set off on a beautiful winters day.The climb to the top was difficult ... so the kids said but i dont believe them !

Found the cache with ease.Took a few goodies and left batteries and some plastic toys.Chased out the 2 cockroaches from the cache who had taken up residence.Box was dry and in good condition.

Enjoyed the view and something to eat before heading down.Great school holiday entertainment for the kids.

Set off to find our first cache which we thought would be an easy find as the area is easily accessable.Found the cache site easy but gave up after 15 minutes searching on hands and knees for a leaf covered container.Lots of leaves on the surrounding ground !!! It was abvious the cache had been removed or perhaps we needed more experience ?I now see the last logged site visitor could not find the cache either so it must have been removed.

What a beautiful day to visit this cache on top of the world.( well it felt like that anyway the view was superb on a warm winters day)Climbed to the top and found the cache easliy. The pic of previous visitors standing on the cache site made the search easy ... perhaps a bit too easy.My GPS reading of the coordinates was only about 5 metres difference from the published coords .. some good accuracy there !The kids took a few things from the cache and left a wallet,a doll and some plastic figures. The cache was in good condition and dry.
