Description
A small jiggly little gnome wishes to travel the world.
My owner is now finished their garden building and planting and has requested that I head home. I don't plan on arriving instantly. That would give them the false idea that gnomes are at the beck and call of humans when all gnomes know this is absolutely the opposite to the truth. However, I am interested to see what they have managed to do without me and would like to start heading north again if at all possible please. Thanks for the great adventures.
I have made it home safely and will now retire to my owner's garden. Thanks everyone for the adventure.

Logs
Jiggly Jones is home safe and sound with me. Has been for ages. I thought I updated this log but obviously not. Sorry to anyone who has gone out to look for him and not been able to find him.
Where is He?
Last seen at the Oz Mega?, No find at Laanecoorie.
I did look hard, promise.

Please don't send Jiggly to Tassy. I would love for him to head home to the north coast of NSW up near Byron Bay somewhere would be good. Or even just as far as Coffs Harbour.
Renroc.... Jiggly's owner who is missing him muchly.

Someone left this little fellow in our table at an event.
Will pass it on to RVgeos to take to tassy.

Well he is definitely not at the posted coordinates - they are for the entrance to the caravan park where the event was held.
Did check around just in case though.
Suggest you contact Tigersden and see if they can remember who took which gnomes. At least now we know he's not there.

Hi there,
I am Jiggly's owner and I would love to see if he is actually still in place. To the best of my knowledge he has not been picked up. But he may have come to an untimely end.
I would really appreciate it if you went to have a look for him. He is quite small only about as tall as my Garmin 62
Thanks

Hello people,
Jiggly has been lazing in his current location for far too long. If there is anyone nearby who could move him somewhere and get him active again I would appreciate it.
Thanks

A quick grab to take this fellow south on the weekend.

Dropped nearby. You can have 2 for the price of one as Henry is keeping him company
Playing Ludo again. Base of the tree closest to the lookout.
228. As there is a very short power trail of gnomes along this stretch it's only fitting that I do them on consecutive days and play leap frog when relocating. This one would look good on the back parcel tray of a car.

Black Bunny, Mr_Roo and I went on a road trip to rescue some poor, imprisoned gnomes from Lithgow. To make the trip a bit more consistently busy, we found a few other caches on the way (and on the way home, too!).
We have more gnomes than everything else put together now, and Black Bunny's shopping basket just disappeared under the mass of partying gnomes - and they're NOISY!

Canberra gnomes kidnapped by the GGG, with the aide of of a forward observer stationed at Oberon (Heave-Ho) formed the Gnome Liberation Front, and convinced a cadre of gnomes currently resident in the Blue Mountains environment, that their services were required in the ACT.
This led to a call being placed by the GLF for a mass extraction of the gnomes and various pickup points were organized by Mr Roo, Just a Cacher & I. The gnomes had a long march from their various Lithgow detention points and a few gnomes were left in the region to gather intelligence in case of a need for future pickups.
Look for these gnomes to start appearing in Federal relief agencies as experts on the Flood recovery and Carbon Tax programs. Jiggy's unique action will sure to please.

Made a quick find with Blackbunny and Just a cacher on a gnome invasion of Lithgow. Interesting sign nearby just had to grab a photo of the plaque.
Jiggly Jones wanted to see how his ancestors were making steel, what better way than to take him to Blast Furnace Park in Lithgow. This will give him some idea of the work carried in this area early last century. He is quite pleased with his new abode, in a steel bracket on one of the remaining large wall.
Another great event today. On a stinking hot day in homebush oveer 40 gnomes showed up and looked to be having a great time especially this little guy. Oh yeah there where some fun people there aswell.
Looks like a couple of gnomes may have followed us home and there locations will be updated soon.
Thankyou to the organisers and who ever gave this little guy a lift. Looking forward to the next event.

Jiggly Jones has been gnapped, don't go looking for him he is on his way to a nice restful holiday. Not to worry he will be looked after as well as he deserves!
I have to admit I have a soft spot for him, one of my favourite Gnome. Give him a bit of time to rest and he will find a new abode.

This gnome was stolen not by one, but by two professional gnome-gnappers.
He's in good hands . . .
He's in good hands . . .
no it wasn't me There were a number of professional gnome gnappers at the party today but as far as I know, only rogerw3 was in the car with pjmpjm so it's most likely him
If so, jiggly is likely to be in good hands because roger knows every good bushwalk around Lithgow as well as everything in the Blue Mountains. Since he's able to travel around on the trains all day and has been known to walk 20+ km a day just for fun, Jiggly could turn up anywhere

When I reached Leura Station, I tried to get Jiggly out of the GeoBuru. However, he was immediately gnabbed by a professional gnome-gnapper and spirited away . . . Don't know where he is now!
I encountered Jiggly Jones once again at the The Gegnome Project-Post Gnome Get Together at Homebush Bay, still as Jiggly as ever!
Here Jiggly was one of an amazing variety of 42 gnomes in attendance on the day, at Wentworth Commons -- and a few gnome-mad geocachers attended as well . . . The scorching 41 degree temperatures didn't dent our enthusiasm.
Congratulations to all those battle-hardened gnomes who survived the rigours of the recent competition and our condolences to the owners of those who suffered injuries and/damage or who were finally declared 'missing in action' . . .
Jiggly can now take a very well-deserved break, doing whatever it is that gnomes do when they take well-deserved break . .

Found among the 41 other Gnomes at 'The GeGnome Project - Post Gnome Get Together!' A great time was had by all, even the Gnomes and they spent their time having logs and other things pushed up their nether regions at least for most of them. A great way to see Gnomes that I would not have been able to get to otherwise.

Good to catch up with Jiggly again now the rush of the race is done, caught him relaxing at the event today.
Well what a party that was! There were way more gnomes (42!!!) than cachers (maybe 10 teams, about 20 people) and things almost got out of hand Luckily some of the gnomes who attended were able to keep a bit of control - Bruce the Gninja, GeoPirate, Gno-mad, Gnome-Mare and Geolady were big enough and tough enough to exert some authority.
We held a ballot to see who would go home in which car and young Jiggle Jones agreed to take pjmpjm.

Jiggly can be found at the stated co-ords tomorrow at the Gnome meeting.
I saw several gnomes pop up in my area so wanted to make a last find before the end on the race.
They can all come to the Post Race party on Saturday. Because Jiggly likes singing and dancing he can lead the rest of the Gnomes.

Jiggly may well be a great dancer but I would like to warn people he seriously can NOT sing. So thank heavens that the karioke bars were not open. Plus, I am not sure he is good with drinks. He wobbles a lot when unstable so he may end up doing himself some harm.
Jiggly had heard all about the karioke bars in Sydney and insisted he wanted to check them out. I think he was very keen to have a try because he reckoned he had an in-built advantage We had a look around Kings Cross but most places only open after 10pm so he was out of luck. Never mind, we'll find another party for him.
He was dropped off at North Ryde for the night with the crowd. All the gnomes had heard that there was a post-race party on the weekend and wanted to be sure to be in a spot where there was a guaranteed lift to get there

I arrived at work to find I was required to act as a tour guide for the day and keep a noisy rabble of 10 gnomes occupied! Thank goodness it's a beautiful day and I can send them outside to play for a while
An extremely early morning trip to the city to drop the gnome delegation off to blossom* for their day's tour. The security guy was a bit non-plussed at my explanation of why there were 11 gnomes in the front garden of the telephone exchange but he has met blossom* and, once I told him she was involved, no more explanation seemed to be needed
Jiggly was back as part of the delegation here when I arrived this morning, demanding that they be taken all over Sydney becasue they wanted to get in as many tourist stops as possible before the end of the race.
I ought to be able to get them to blossom* and she might give them a bit of a city tour

There's gonna be a party here. Did a midnight Gnome raid and now there is a real gathering waiting to be bundled up together for one last day in the race.

Jiggly made it to a temporary stop in Dural . . . but a keen geocacher was right behind him . . .
Indeed, I have just gnapped this gnome and, despite his long trip west, he's now going to repeat the trip back east!
His destination is now Dural, and I'll report further where I drop him off.
Jiggly is jiggling a bit at the thought of more travelling, but I've assured him that his travails are nearly over . . .

Jiggly Jones has now arrived in Lithgow, but his stay will be very short lived, in fact he has already been gnapped and is on his way to pastures new with many friends.
Jiggly is now on his way for a last adventure, he is travelling around Sydney in my bag, 1 of 5 gnappings today. He will be relocated very soon before moving on again.

Jiggly Jones ran across the road, waved goodbye and said he needed to get a move on. The race was ending in 2 days.
On another rescue mission to gnap a languishing gnome, I came upon Jiggly's home. What a fabulous piece of real estate he has been hiding at. Can't believe no one has put a cache here.
Plenty of muggles about as the water muglets were out sailing very close by. Jiggly's home was soon found and .... wow you are small aren't you. Jiggly turned around gave my a big smile and said,
" Finally!!! You came". He did a little jig all the way to the car. Said G'day to Gnome de Grrr III who was waiting patiently on the front seat.

I bet Jiggly enjoyed his front seat views of the fireworks last night! Hope someone goes and collects him soon so he has a few more moves before the game is up.
After checking out our bush garden Jiggly was keen to get racing again so we took him down to the city.
Headed out to Lake Lyell way for a picnic today so decided to visit Jiggly. When we told him we lived in the Blue Mountains and had a bit of a native garden he asked to come along. Tonight he is sitting out on the back deck checking things out. He must have been busy lately as he has broken his spade at some point? Geoson is enjoying making him jiggle.
Jiggly Hitched a ride out past Lithgow with me to Wallerawang. Said he had some business in town, so i dropped him near the Black and Gold Cabins. There have been a string of noise complaints ever since...
It was early Sunday morning, about three o'clock when I found Jiggly in observatory park. He was on his way home from a big night out, but some fairies had stopped him and were hassling him for change.
A few "I don't believe in fairies" later and we were on our way home. Where next?

Went for an early morning gnome strike and found Mini-gnome here in the park not far from the Quiet Triangle cache. Dropped in Jiggly Jones as a replacement.
Picked up Jiggly as he was trying to beat me to the FTF on a nearby GCA cache. Just managed to pip him. A relief to finally catch him after missing him at Ryde last week!
Decided to deposit little Jiggly next to a spot where I hope local GCA enthusiasts would gather!
That way he'll be assured of a good home for the night and safe transport onwards . . .
Bye bye, Jiggly!

Old friend Jiggly Jones wanted to high-tail it out of town. I think Lithgow is a great place and only wished I could have stayed longer.
But I agreed to give him a lift back to Leura after a day of excellent geocaching adventures.
I might take him on to Dural tomorrow. Will have to think it over. But he's sure to get more lifts around there.
These travelling gnomes do seem to require a lot of attention.
Hope they all survive at least until January 31st!

Jiggly Jones has decided to move, he went to wait for a train out of Lithgow, but do no look for him. He has hitched a ride already.
Jiggly has been gnapped and is on his way to the mountains, he will find a new home very soon, right now he is enjoying a bit of R&R and raiding my fridge with Gnole.

WOW that certainly is a BIG FIG tree. Thanks everyone for moving Jiggly to some wonderful locations. I am sure he is learning heaps about gardens.
He came for a trip into the city, and decided to stop for a while in the botanic gardens. He clambered up a nice big fig for a rest.
This looked like a lovely peaceful spot for Jiggly to spend some time. Nice water views and not too many inquisitive muggles.
Saw this little guy had popped up nearby so raced out and grabbed him. Cool little gnome.

Stringy and Jiggly came to the Ryde Aquatic centre with the kids for a swim. Splashed about for over 4 hours, and then both got Chlorine poisoning, so as we left they saw a bus only sign, not a stop mind you and jumped out for a breathe of fresh air and rest.
Well, turns out I was the lucky/unlucky cacher to take him home Had a great time at the farewell and Jiggly kept jiggling, so I grabbed him to help with the jitters. Turns out berocca, nor panadol is good for gnomes. He's in the backyard trying to mate with my trampoline. Yeah I know, you have to see it to believe it. I don't On he'll travel soon

Yes he came along to say goodbye but unfortunately I only had one spare Gnome ticket to England and Gneddy Gnome had reserved it! Still, it was good to meet him and he had great fun socialising with all the other Gegnomes who came along. Not sure who he ended up going home with? We will see tomorrow!

I hardly had the chance to get to know Jiggy before he was carried off by another geocacher!
We were attending the 'Zalgariath's Off to Europe' geocaching party at Flemington and found ourselves sitting at the same table in the bistro for a few minutes.
All I could do was sign his log book, and then someone else wanted to talk to him.
It was quite a party!
I think he must have gone home with someone else. So I can't take credit for moving him along.

Whoo hoo! Looks like Jiggly might be off to Europe. At least he might get away from the wet over here. Thanks to all the cachers who have assisted him on his journey so far.
OOPS thanks to Blossom Jiggly has reconsidered travel plans and has now decided to remain in Australia . Apparently there are many cachers attending the gathering who will happily help him travel further and see more of Australia.

He's not here yet but will be for the event tonight.
I hadn't gone far at all when Jiggly jumped out of the back of the ute and dashed off!! He'd heard there'd be a party on Tuesday night and hoped someone would pick him up and take him to say hi to everyone.
You will find him having a rest at the base of a small bush becasue he hopes to party all night and needs to catch up on his rest in case he gets lucky

Thanks for moving Jiggly. Sorry he was rude and didn't thank you properly. If he makes it back home I may well send him to you to do some time in your garden to make up for this attitude. Guard duty for your flowers may pull him into line.
Jiggly if you are reading this be warned that you had better be more polite in future. I taught you far better manners than you have recently shown. Don't let your eagerness to see the world make you forget them please!
PS I have just discovered that there is a very unsavoury character hanging around in a park not too far from you, Risque the Gnome -Don't Look If he tries to make contact please tell him you are a well brought up gnome and your owner would not appreciate you hanging around with undesirable characters. Be strong my boy... be strong and resist.

Jiggly was keen to keep moving so I put him in the back of the ute and headed off. He seemed pretty excied to be in the big city and wants to meet EVERYONE here! I'll have to find a good spot where he can meet up with a few other cachers and gegnomes
Jiggly thanked me for the lift and dahsed off to stick his thumb out again!! Not a lot of thanks from some of these gnomes!!
Ah-ha! Another gegnome to gnapp! Having spent 2 days trying to get to Armidale through the various flooded roads and rivers, we finally made it.
The sun was shining and the gnomes were calling so I headed down the highway for an extra 20km to meet up with young Jiggly. He was waiting patiently in an interesting rest spot and seemed pretty happy to hitch a ride south where the weather is more reliable (???)
He met a lot of other gegnomes along the way, photos to follow

Welcome to Uralla! High in the northern tablelands of NSW, I thought that this would be the best spot for Jiggly to dry out. The sun was shining here today, unlike his previous home was victim to another day of teaming rain. I found a spot nice and close to the New England Highway, which thrilled Jiggly immensely. Which way will he go, North or South?
Happy travels JJ – hope we meet again soon!

I was in Ballina buying some prawns for Chrissy lunch, and I heard that an old friend was in town – Jiggly Jones (or JJ as our family affectionately knows him) was resting at the Bicentennial Gardens in Ballina. I heard a little cry from the gardens, and after a while searching, I had JJ in hand. He seemed a little upset.
“What’s wrong”, I asked him, “Are you alright?”
“It’s my jiggle mechanism”, he replied, “I’m a bit worried about the rust that has started to set in.”
“It’s just a little surface rust”, I tried to convince him.
“It may be now, but it could spread – why is this happening to me?”, he cried.
I tried to explain to JJ that rust can set in quickly in tropical, salty locations – typical of most Northern Rivers locations, so he has insisted to visit somewhere that doesn’t experience the moist coastal breezes that Ballina residents enjoy. So JJ will spend Christmas Day traveling to a completely different environment…

I went to check on Jiggly Jones today and he is still there. He is happy and has seen many different types of birds and lizards but would like to move on now. My co-ords were taken with a phone gps so may be a bit off. The picture in the gallery is a hint as the tree he is hiding behind is shown in it. The bark covering him had settled and looked like it had been there for the last hundred years so I moved it a bit. Hopefully someone will find him soon.
We looked and looked and acquired many cobwebs and ant bites (boy are there some viscous ants out there) but we just couldn't find him. Although I'm sure I heard a tiny little gnomey laugh as we drove away.
OK Jiggly, we see you like your hiding spot, hope you find someone to take you away soon.

Since Jiggly Jones was so interested in the birds he had seen I decided to take him over to the Bicentennial Gardens. There are many different native plants there and a diverse range native water birds.
When I saw him last he was in deep conversation with a Dusky Moorhen

Looked again and still didn't find it so I took the Ex and Eldest with me. The Ex found him! I was in the wrong clump of trees. He is chattering away about all the different types of spiders he has seen and the various birds that flew overhead. It's very hot at the moment so he's having a break in the cool for a little while.

I searched but could not find him. I slipped in the mud and fought off the numerous spiders (omg getitoffgetitoff!) but to no avail. I searched several areas nearby and across the road. I think maybe he is hiding from me and giggling as I searched

People trying to find Jiggly Jones should be aware that they may well need gumboots to retrive him. I found a cache not far from here a while ago and ruined a pair of shoes. It has done some more raining since then.
Thanks Matty RX for moving Jiggly Jones.

Dropped Jiggly over the other side of Lismore, in one of the council's 'low-maintenance' native gardens. They are rarely disturbed, so make perfect Gnome hiding spots. Mr Jones will be able to learn all about native flora, as well as watch the birds in this little patch of shrubbery. Very convenient to the airport too, maybe he might stow-away on a flight down south.
I’ve been waiting for 1st December with anticipation – gnome hunting time! I tied it in with the fortnightly grocery shop too. It was very convenient that I didn’t have to work today, so I had first shot at the Lismore Gnomes. Found this little critter jiggling away in a shrub. He is a cute little fellow – I love the way the container was fixed to him! I’ll move him to another Lismore location. Hopefully some of the other local cachers will get a chance to move Mr. Jones, and give him some miles. Great cache! Thanks Renroc.

A shy little gnome has been sent away from home. Around the world he has been told to roam and then if he wishes he can come home.
His keeper did speak to a caching geek and asked them to help this gnome over his shyness and then waved him goodbyeness.
She'll see him anon when his shy way is gone.
While away he is travelling his keeper is hoping to build a fine garden fit for a bold gnome which she hopes he will be by the end of this venture.
