Description
Have you achieved something on your bucket list?
A Bucket List, for those who may not know, is a list of all the things you want to do or see before you "kick the bucket" (i.e. pass away, die).
Have you achieved any of these yet? If so, and not too personal, please share specific details that may help inspire others.
Obviously in many cases co-ordinates may not be accurate or even relevant.
A picture says a thousand words, so if no photo then get typing, LOL.

Back when I had a 4WD and was living in Adelaide, in 2005 I decided it would be nice to do a serious trip up the Strezlecki Track to Innamincka and then on to see the inland sea of Coongie Lakes. With 5 people and 3 vehicles in our group we set off for a week long trip up through the Flinders and then the Strez. (There was also a FTF at Coongie Lakes that had been sitting there for almost a year unfound). The trip didn't disappoint with some awesome camping along the way. Once camped near Coongie Lakes along the banks of the Cooper Creek we had a few mils of rain overnight and almost didn't make it out the next day with the floodplain soil, and once we got back to Innamincka found the road had been closed
Then a trip back down to Broken Hill via Cameron Corner was an excellent way to finish the trip.

One of my bucket list items was to visit Machu Pichu in Peru. I achieved this the year I retired from work 2005.

GCA 2,384. I was very happy to tick this one off my bucket list.
Since I was a kid I always wanted to go to Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Centre where all the Apollo and Space Shuttle launches took place (among many other launches up to today). I was lucky enough to do that on 26 Oct 2015 when I spent several hours looking around the amazing sites and museum. The pictures don't really do it justice unfortunately.

One of the places on our bucket list to visit was Cape York - the Tip of Australia. In 2014 we finally got there. We towed our camper trailer to Loyalty Beach and did a day trip to the Tip. Such a great trip with lots of birdwatching (and saw plenty of new birds). TFTC
From the day I started Geocaching, the top thing on my bucket list was to find the oldest cache in each State.
My first was Melbourne’s 1st. My son asked what I wanted for Mother’s Day, a few years ago, I asked him if he’d take me to find Victoria’s oldest cache, and he did, and he was hooked, and has been caching with me ever since.
Muggle Hubby wanted to drive his new XTrail to Cooktown, I agreed on the proviso that we would find Queensland’s oldest along the way. That was a long walk on a hot day, but we achieved it.
The opportunity of free accommodation and the use of a vehicle in Western Australia for a month gave us the opportunity to head down to Albany and locate Western Australia’s first.
Muggle Hubby decided we should spend our Golden Wedding Anniversary back in Tasmania where we spent our honeymoon, retracing the places we visited 50 years previously, but this time via Geocaching. So glad we went up Mt Wellington then, because when we revisited it, we found Tasmania’s oldest, and this time we had brakes that worked in the vehicle we drove back down the mountain. It wasn’t nearly so scary.
A “so many months to the Mega” event in Canberra gave me the chance to find the oldest one there. This was the most challenging one for me.
Then the big event at Alice Springs at Easter was the perfect chance to get both the Northern Territory’s and South Australia’s, leaving only the pinnacle, the Holy Grail, Lane Cove - Australia’s first.
On our way to the OZGeomuster Muggle Hubby braved the Sydney traffic, crossed the Harbour Bridge, and accompanied me every step of the way, to cross this off my bucket list.
Thanks for the Locationless Lazarus68 - it’s been a great trip down memory lane for me recalling and writing this down.

Being a little fitter in my younger days I've always been keen to get back on the wagon.
About 4 years ago I took up running again.
After about a month i needed motivation to keep going.
Then I focused on an event I always wanted to compete in.
The City 2 Surf in Sydney.
I'd lived there when I was younger but are now back in Melbourne.
On the 14th August 2016 I completed the challenge.
14km and managed to conquer heart break hill too.

I like a physical challenge and doing one that involved a night time component and paddling was definitely on my bucket list. Happy to say that I was able to cross this one off back in 2009 when I participated in the Hawkesbury Classic 111km paddle. Started at Windsor at 4pm and finished at Brooklyn around 8am. Didn't break any records but felt an amazing sense of achievement. Have crossed off a few similar challenges since then as well, including the Oxfam 100km walk and a couple of 100km+ bike rides.

This is difficult to choose just what photo to use.I have used a photo of a lion very close. I have always wanted to see the animals in Africa, I have been lucky enough to see them on 2 visits.
My bucket list was to see the band RUSH in concert. They were never going to come to Australia, so I bought a ticket to a concert in Orlando, Florida, then flew over there to see them. Best concert I've ever see. Got quite emotional...twice. That's me outside the arena a few hours before the show.

As a youngster, seeing remote parts of australia, climbing Ayers Rock and diving on the reef were all dreams and one by one, they happened. Now much older, I wanted to travel with my wife, to somewhere remote, culturally very different and out of our comfort zone while we still could. A trip to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and a trek with a Berber guide ticked that box. There's been a few more since, like getting to the Guggenheim and Dali Museum, crossing the Pyrenees (over the freezing top with fantastic views, not through the bottom) and there'll be more to come. Thanks Lazarus_68.
I went to Antarctica on an expedition... and now have serious penguin love.

My bucket list was a trip around Australia with my Husband and the kids.
We saw lots, did lots and achieved lots.
Heaps of fantastic memories and have been around again seeing the sights in a longer time frame than a rushed 4 months.
Thanks for this kind of cache, it brings back lots of memories.

Finally made it to the Easternmost point of mainland Australia, now to get to the southernmost and the westernmost.
I had wanted to go ballooning for many years, and had picked a significant birthday that ended in zero for the time to get this off my bucket list. However, several things transpired against me and it wasn't until almost 3 years later that I finally got to go up. The trouble with having exceptionally high expectations is that the reality doesn't always live up to them, so it wasn't quite as wonderful as I had hoped. But despite this, it was still a magical and spectacular experience. If I was ever lucky enough to go again I would have ugg boots on hand if the weather was chilly (the rest of me stayed relatively warm from the burner but my feet were frozen). Now on to the next bucket list item....
When I was a littles my bucket list was pretty simple - become an archaeologist, travel, publish something and become a poet. Well 3/4 achieved - lost interest in being a poet although I have had some poems published! Then a later list was to go hot air ballooning, see Uluru, ride in a helicopter and go gliding. In the last couple of years, have ticked all of those off. Then i wanted to become a market stall holder and earn a living by making things - well, I've been doing that for the past 14 months and am ready to say that Ive been there done that now. I recently turned 50 and realised that I had done everything n my bucket list, so time to think of some new goals.
So, my new bucket list for now: join Army Reserve, study more (currently doing Bachelor of Criminology), get to 5000 finds, visit New Zealand, go gold fossicking in Alaska, learn to snowboard, run the New York marathon. Training and progression towards these should keep me busy for the next few years and no doubt I will keep adding to the list.

Completing the Overland Track and climbing Mt Ossa (Tasmania's highest peak) were both on the bucket list for a while and the DaFiChNi's managed to cross them both off in December 2015. With a smattering of snow adding to the difficulty, and making the beaten track up the mountain a little hard to follow, we finally managed to summit Ossa, and then continued en-route to completing the Overland Track. Easily one of the most satisying and enjoyable experiences!
OK, before I look into this cache further, I think it's only fair that I refer to the only bucket list I've ever posted on the internet. It also makes for a good chance to revisit my list, see if the goals are reasonable, stupid etc. Here we go-
Visit Vietnam again
Walk from work to Miranda Shopping Centre
Walk a marathon
Walk all of the Great North Walk (Sydney to Newcastle)
Go up Mt Fuji
Get black belt (shotokan karate)
Skikoku Pilgrimage (a long trek in Japan)
Retire
From that list I have already walked to Miranda and walked a marathon (I like walking) which leaves:

Hi Lazarus_68
My bucket list is a caching one
Have been caching since 2006 and have driven past the turn off to this cache so many times - either out of time, too lazy, it could be too hard - we all know the scenario
But today, with the added lure of more caches in the area; I decided to find GCQ5PX "Stacks of Tungsten" hidden way back on 16th August 2005.
My log read:
"Hi aloysius7 and Swampy
Have never been to Storys Creek before but this novel experience gave me a chance to collect two other caches and this one, which has been on my bucket list for a long time.
Sainted the cache at 1136hrs
Once the cache was found, I enjoyed the scenery and a good walk around the bridge
Not much water in the creek today but imagine it would look really good with a full flow
Thanks for bringing to this picturesque spot - loved it
Thanks for getting it off my bucket list
Cache is in good condition
TFTC and cheers

We have finally made it to Uluru. It has been on our bucket list for years. We had attended the Red Centre Experience and then made our way to Uluru for 3 days after the event.
I have never really had a 'bucket list' apart from the common ones of travelling around Australia and overseas. I am really happy to visit anywhere.
A few years ago I had some worrying health issues and my 'bucket list' changed to just making my family happy at Christmas time. My issues resolved and then I was diagnosed with a serious but not life-threatening medical condition. It sounds strange but a serious diagnosis was better than the previous unknown issues. After finishing treatment my husband organised a holiday for my children and I. My 'bucket list' changed to having the best family holiday EVER. With two teenage sons I was not looking forward to it but our trip to London and Paris was great. I was able to show my boys some of the places that I have visited previously and we were able to experience lots of other places together.
I still don't have real 'bucket list', I am happy to just experience life as it occurs.

There's a few things on my bucket list and there's a couple that have been ticked off.
At the top of the list of "to do's" is to ride a motorbike across Laos before the country becomes over-commercialised.
At the top of the list of "done" was a visit to the place pictured in the attached photos. We spent a few days in the area in 2003, long before there were Americanised shopping centres and traffic lights in the nearby town. It's a truly captivating place, both for its history and its amazing construction.
Thanks Lazarus_68

Not long after we first met in 1970 we had always had a dream of going hot air ballooning at some stage. The initial years of married life and then children did not give us the opportunity. When one of our daughters moved to Melbourne for university studies, we would wistfully watch the early morning hot air balloons overhead and say “One day . . .”.
It wasn’t until 2006 that the opportunity arose. We had flown to Brisbane to see relatives and then we went on to Cairns The hot-air ballooning packages were reasonably priced (much cheaper than others we had researched) and our attitude was “it is now or never”.
Early one morning before the sun rose we were picked up in a small bus and headed off to Mareeba with a number of others. We learnt that half of us would take the first flight of about 30 minutes and the second half would then have their flight of a similar duration. At the launch site overseas tourists rushed to get on the first flight and by default we were left for the second flight. Little did we realise that the first flight would only last about 25 minutes but our flight was almost an hour because we had to drift further to get a suitable landing spot. It was magical with the complete silence of the flight only broken by the occasional burst from the gas heater. We drifted over lush vegetation and a golf course where many kangaroos appeared to be having an early round. We could see “for miles”. It was superb. After landing and packing up, we headed to a nearby restaurant for breakfast (all part of the package) before returning to our accommodation.
We have since looked at another flight but the cheapest we could find was at least triple of what we paid for our “flight of a lifetime”.
We have included two photos from the flight – part of the memories of achieving one of the things on our bucket list. Thanks Lazarus_68 for the cache and the opportunity to reflect.

I never had an official bucket list but, as I got older and started to think about retirement, I decided I wanted to do some of the hikes I considered "special" and top of this list was the Larapinta Trail in Central Australia.
I was pretty sure my boss would be her usual mean self and say I was too important and they couldn't do without me just at that time because we were getting a new system and I needed to be there to do all the testing yada yada yada. But I had 6 months long service leave and thought I'd give it a go,so I applied.
Without any discussion, the electronic rejection came through
So the next day, I put my resignation on her desk
End result? An absolutely fabulous trip in June/July 2014 and I haven't looked back. Next trip is the Milford Track in 6 weeks time

Being a Queenslander born and bred I have never seen snow or touched it or played in it. So I ticked off a bucket list item.....a road trip to the Snowy Mountains. It was awesome and I learned to ski and had the best time ever. So much so that I would love to go back one day. The trip was a road trip and I also ticked off stopping for a photo at a famous Australian Icon....The Dog on the Tuckerbox in Gundagai. Now only my dad and I have this iconic photo. My Mum and sister have not been to see the Dog. All in all it was a great road trip from Brisbane through Warwick, Goondiwindi, Moree, Coonabarabran, Gundagai, Tumut, Jindabyne. Canberra and Orange on the way back.TFTC

Only just noticed this one and then thought of a geocaching bucket list goal that I achieved a couple of years ago: To log FTF on a D5/T5 cache. I achieved this on January 9th 2015 in the company of OOH YEH at GC5JBX1. Almost two years on, no-else has yet managed to find the cache.
Whilst I'm not at all interested in filling grids or calendars in the geocaching world, the D5/T5 FTF was a bit of a holy grail for me and I never really expected such an opportunity to come my way. It still ranks as the top 1 or 2 geocaching adventures I've had to date.
Thanks for the locationless Lazerous_68

One of my all time dreams was to float through the sky in a hot air balloon. I go to do this when I was 16. My aunt took me hot air ballooning over the Yarra Valley. It was a cold morning, but the sun rose and presented us with some stunning views over the land below. This is something I would love to do again. Sadly though, being young and silly I have lost my photos next on my bucket list is to get married at Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, overlooking that amazing view, and then spend my honeymoon flying around to a few iconic locations like the Eifel Tower and the Empire State Building and go to the top.

So there was one thing on my bucket list for many many years and that was to jump out of a perfectly good plane. To do this I took advantage of the cheap exchange rate (at the time) and skydive in new Zealand. It was a bit touch and go for a little while as there was a fair bit of cloud cover which made it dangerous as you would lose vision. Lucky for me the guy I was attached to was happy to take the risk... others were not. We flew to 9000ft and out we jumped. Through the clouds was incredible as we could see nothing but white. Then the ground became visible and it was such an amazing experience that I long to do again.

I've never had a bucket list, I didn't even know what it was until about a year ago. I started geocaching in July 2015 and have been to some places I didn't know existed in my own backyard literally. I'd like to see where geocaching will take me.
Anyway, I wanted to visit Sea Cliff Bridge north of Wollongong, just because it looked beautiful on tv. I have since had reason to go there - geocaching - in fact, I have been there about three times now. I then got an idea I wanted to walk the entire length of the bridge, which I did, over and back. At the time I had a newborn and so I got another idea to breastfeed bubs on the bridge, which I did. Then came another idea to walk across Sydney Harbour Bridge. I have driven it and trained it, so walking was next. And yes, I have walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge too now. These weird ideas we conjure up make wonderful memories and quirky stories to tell the grandchildren.
I am slowly finding things to add to my bucket list which seem to become grander as time ticks on. So what's next I hear you ask, well, with a new lost of caches having come out on bridges I have a little bucket list to visit each one and walk them, this includes Sydney Harbour Bridge again, and also to visit as many lighthouses as I can. I have been to quite a few lighthouses over the years, so I am keen to visit more in coming years. Actually, with summer holidays here it maybe a good time to head off to the big smoke and tackle those bridges.

This one is a while ago - but be fit enough to cycle a very long distance
In November 2009, I did just that - 210km! - It took me 11hrs, but I got there
In November 2011, I did it again - in 7hrs 40min!
Since then, my cycling has dipped and dived, but I still ride. Now riding that distance is still a hard day - but do it once, it's easier the 2nd and 3rd and 10th time around!

In November 2011, I did it again - in 7hrs 40min!

What a clever one this is. I did a Marathon at the ripe young age of 52. Part of the Canberra Walking festival, I prepared for it by having a Colonscopy a few weeks before followed by a holiday in the skifields of Japan where it was very hard to walk any distance because of the snow and ice - Terrain 4.5 at times - However, I did knock of the Marathon, walking at over 5 kph on average which I thought was pretty good. I cut a fine fashion statement on the day
I was probably too young to have a bucket list when I visited Europe, but now in hindsight I'm glad some of the things I did there are already ticked off the list. Climbing the Eiffel tower, visiting Edinburgh, getting to the top of the tower in St Mark's Square in Venice. But it's the little things that give me a buzz. For those of you that know me, I'm a massive Australian music fan (just look at the names of all my caches) and I had a special little moment when I got to Marseille, France. In my teens I listened to The Angels who have a song titled Marseille, and one of the lines you just can't help but shout out is "Take me away to Marseille". And I did eventually get there! No photo, but here's a link to the song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPkanDMMiwc

My Bucket List contains a lot of things that aren't travel related.
One of them is to have an Apiary. My parents kept bees when I was a young kid and I've always wanted to have some myself. So, last week I took the plunge and bought heaps of gear. The bees were rescued from a possum box and I've just recently done a "cut out" and transfered them to a proper hive. This is going to be a long and sweet adventure!

My bucket list involves travelling across the globe seeing famous landmarks. in 2015 I had the chance to drive up to the Grand Canyon in Arizona on a spare Sunday while I was on a work trip to the US.
It was snowing at the time (in November) and as a QLDer I was not prepared for the cold and had shorts on.
I also had the chance to grab a couple of Virtuals at the lookouts while I was there

Due to my love of many popular movies and TV shows, most of the items on my bucket list are based on visiting iconic filming locations so that I can jokingly replicate iconic scenes for the enjoyment of myself and many of my friends. In September last year, I ticked one of these bucket list items when I went to Europe for a school trip with many close friends - it still remains as the three best weeks of my life. While we were in Paris, the place that I wanted to visit the most was surprising not the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre or the Palace of Versailles - but was in fact a McDonald's resturant!
This is, of course, a reference to the fantastic Quentin Tarantino film - Pulp Fiction! Near the beginning of the film, John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson are two hitmen driving in a car while having a very intrieging conversation about the "little differences" between America and Europe. One of the funniest and most iconic differences topics addressed in the conversation was what they called a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris - because of the metric system, Travolta claimed that the French instead called it a "Royale with Cheese." This being one of many humourous and famous quotes from the film, I had to go to McDonald's in Paris to see it for myself!
When we walked into McDonald's on the first day, I went up to the counter and ordered a "Royal Cheese" - unfortunately, the burger did not have a title as cool as "Royale with Cheese," but it was close enough! After eating the burger and remarking Jackson's famous line, "hmm, this is a tasy burger," me and my teacher ate our burgers and filmed our own little parody of the Pulp Fiction conversation. The video is a special something between ourselves and my friends, however I have attached a photo of the "Royal Cheese" box that I took home back to Australia!
This was a great locationless cache that allowed me to feel nostalgic about the times that have passed - thanks Lazarus_68!

#GA1141 - 17:20; Great idea for a cache! A visit to the Taj Mahal was on my bucket list for a long time and I managed to cross it off last year. The Taj itself is stunning. I have to say though, there are a great many historical sites throughout India and I'll be going back again. TFTC Lazarus_68

On my bucket list was a trip to Wembley Stadium to watch an FA Cup Final...hopefully with my team.....Stoke City....playing. Well, in 2011, it happened. Stoke made the Final....and after they won their Semi-Final (beating Bolton 5-0) my wife says....."So, are you going????". Short answer was yes. So, bags were packed, passport found...and I was on a plane the weekend before the game.
Long story short.....arrived in London, took a train up to Stoke, headed down the club....and managed to grab a ticket. Was lucky to do so, but sometimes your luck is in.
Stayed in Stoke the night before the game....place was going off...and took a train, with the other couple of 1000 of people going, and although we lost the game 1-0, a great time was had by all. Spent another 5 days in London...caching....before heading home.
Thanks to Lazarus_68 for the cache....and thanks again (even 5 years later) to my great wife for agreeing with me that it was a good idea if I went. A few photo's of the day attached......

One of the things on my Bucket list (which has now become mostly a geocache bucket list) was to travel to Hawaii. I did it last year for my 50th Birthday, and found Hawaii's oldest geocache too. The next non-geocache item on the bucket list is to visit the sculpture in Chicago call Cloud Gate, commonly known as The Bean, it is a wonderful bean shaped fully stainless steel mirror polished sculpture sitting about 10 metres high by 20 metres long. I plan to go there next March

A visit to Scotland was top of our list a couple of years ago. Because of work commitments we could only go during the northern winter. It was cold and it was fun. Our photo attached is during our visit to Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven.
Thanks heaps Lazarus_68

I live life as it happens and there are things or places to visit that pop into my head from time to time but these are things that are in the stage of " will get around to"
one day. Nearly all of the holidays or places to visit have been achieved. Yet to achieve ( bucket List if you like) is to do another visit to Tasmania. Spend more time with the grand children now that I have retired. Now if you like a bucket list for geocaching then that I can well and truly talk about.
Hide a minimum of 300 hides including GCA excluding locationless. Achieved.
Find a cache in every Mainland state in Australia and Tasmania. Achieved
Find a cache in the A.C.T. Next Year.
Find an Earth cache in every state and territory. ACT and Tasmania to go.
Geocache on top of Mount Kosciuszko. Next year.
Keep finding and enjoying geocaching. On going and loving it.
Simple plans abut that is all I need. Plans change and get added to and looking forward to achieving set personal goals.
I have set a personal goal for the scavenger games this summer and so far I am achieving my goals. Next goal is to get to 60 claims and on track.
I think this is my bucket list without actually being a bucket list.
