Unfortunately the Gun has gone and with it the cache.
It might come back. If it does it will be for another to place a cache here.
Thanks to Bart 57 for letting us know.

Searched for quite a while - no sign of anything here today,
but search was cut short by muggle invading the park and heading for the artillery division.
Maybe children did look
Thanks for the challenge The Silver Snitch

Grrrrr!! Forget the cache, that took way too long to find and proved to be a difficulty 4 for us instead of a 1.
Did like the orange rubbish bin near GZ though and after finally finding this one wandered along to have a look at the zany garden next door. Loved their sign. 'Trespassers will be composted"!!! Thanks.

Hail Mary moment, finding it in the last 5 seconds before giving up. Thanks for the hide.
Found It!
Bloody Premium Member only caches!!! The only thing worse than a cannon cache! (actually I lie, cactus caches are probably worse as well) On the plus side, at least it wasn't a nano...

Today is day three of our trip away. We set off for Berri to spend 3 days caching the Riverland area, joined by earthlight and Gwen from The X-Trailers. This was a good opportunity to find (or DNF) caches while trialling out our new tent and camping accessories, gearing up for when we head off to the QLD Mega at the end of March. We started out in temperatures of 38ºc before that first evening brought light showers, although not enough to dull the 41ºc temp for day two. Day three was a much nicer day as the day cooled down to a nice 28ºc. We managed 200+ finds on this trip. On day two we found caches in 3 states in 1 day being SA, VIC & NSW, that was quite a highlight. No snakes were spotted, guess it was too hot for them but we had one roo bound slowly across the road in front of us. Next trip back here will be with the boat, there are plenty of river caches to hunt for and naturally all the ones we didn't have time for. 4 people looking made short work of this one. TFTC
We had some practice yesterday finding the cache hidden on a cannon at Karoonda (with Mr & Mrs Grumpi68). This one presented a similar challenge and, once again, we concentrated on areas that children are less likely to look. After reading the description we'd have to agree - so much nicer to think of these devices bringing smiles and laughter, not the sadness which they were designed for. Makes you spare a thought for those who have gone before us .. Thanks Silver Snitch, a nice hide in a nice area.
Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
Camped for a few days at Holder Bend we decided to head out and explore town. We started off visiting the tourist info centre then to the Cholcolate shop... Oh wow, oh wow. [:X]
Then off to explore the surrounds and some history.
Wow this took far too long to find but find it we did. Funnily enough a local came past and said 'oh my your not going to shoot are you[?] Signed the log and moved on.
Sadly there were a few DNF's today but such fantastic weather.
Thanks for the cache and for helping us explore the local area.

Extended our walking the dogs to this park and a quick toilet break. The trick is finding where children would not look Thanks The Silver Snitch
Found this cache while In SA to attend Oz Mega. Travelled today from Karoonda to Berri. Enjoyed the variety of caches along the way and the many novel hides. Thanks for your cache The Silver Snitch
We found your cache today The Silver Snitch, we were travelling from Berri to Nuriootpa on another leg of our South Australian adventure. The weather was perfect for caching and we saw some wonderful countryside along the way. Thanks for the hunt.
Found on our second attempt. What a sneaky hide! Thanks for the challenging fun.
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the "land down under."
Hate canons and guns but have been having good luck with them lately. Had this one in hand in no time.
Thanks for the fun The Silver Snitch!

After a few moments of looking we have found this one... Nice little area TFTC
Found at 9:47 AM GAFF5 in the company Robmc and BB#. We have a Big Bang theory - it did happen! Love these Howitzers as we pretty much know where the hiding spots are, but this one really took us by surprise - a different spot for a hide Luckily BB# was on the ball and grabbed in one of the first spots that she checked [^]
Thanks The Silver Snitch.
Thanks The Silver Snitch.
# 5302. Robmc and I are in SA to tackle a few of the many Series and others along the way. We have now been joined by pprass to join in the adventures.
Today we decided to do some caching around Waikerie and Loxton and try to finish off the Wandering Heroes Series. A feeling of dread at seeing another piece of machinery that I don't like trying to find a cache on. To my surprise I had my hand on the hide in quick time here. Now to breathe a sigh of relief and on to the next one.
Thanks The Silver Snitch

With the help of a neighbour looking over the fence and found us. A bit tricky but am pleased we persisted.
Well there really was a big bang whilst we were looking for this cache. A wind gust blew over a nearby tree, which took out the power line and made a huge noise as it crashed to the ground. It also meant that the pies were cold at the Bakery as the power was off.
Great spot for a cache.
Great spot for a cache.
This would have been in the last place we looked however, it was laying on the ground. The log was soaked. We replaced log and hid again. TFTC
Found with HKGTS0. .aroused the interest of some muggles who knew about caching. Plenty of room on the back of rhe log sheet.
found it but there wasn't any room for me to write on sheet so it need maintenance
As usual an interesting search on an item of this nature, it was all hands on deck, but we did it! Thanks Silver Snitch.

Found whilst away for the weekend in the riverland for our anniversary.
Had to abandon the first attempt before we got out of the car and then came back an hour or so later for a nice easy find, which isn't normal on these things!

The Aussies decided that it was time to make yet another assault on the Wandering Heroes series, and as this series has now grown to where it almost reaches Loxton, we decided to make it into an epic journey and do a loop back through the Barossa. brisal5 kept us company and had a great day making the majority of the finds.
It was a legendary caching day consisting of about 17hrs of caching and around 130 caches contributing to about 100 smilies to both teams, however it was not without it's dramas with blood being spilt more than once.
For some reason no matter how much a hint the title gives, these are always a surprise to Mr M, and once again he was excited to arrive at GZ. This one took a while in the dark as we searched the usual places. Eventually brisal5 made the find in an area that we often look but had grown tired of checking as it never seems to be hidden in that location. This time it was.

Time for another caching adventure. Picked up by Aussie M&M at 0730. [l)] Dropped home just after midnight the next day. The plan: Do some new or missed caches along the wandering heroes, some cache maintainace for CP along the trail and make it to Loxton for Lunch. Pick up a few interesting caches that are SMALL detours and return another way picked up some more caches and make a few SMALL detours.
But here's what actually happened. Did the wandering heroes, did some cache maintainance, made some MEDIUM detours to check out the 4wd of the geofrogmobile, got to Loxton for afternoon tea at the bakery, did some more caches, got to Blanachetown for a pub meal (supper) which took so long to arrive we could have done ten caches while they cooked it, did some more caches and finally got home.
Along the way the usual stuff happened, found some really interesting caches, some not so, there was blood from two, [B)] two fell over, collected 3 travellers, left about a dozen pathtags in the wild, lots of laughter, each team did over 100 caches and now we have the task of the logs.
The only things missing from this adventure; Brisal didn't tear a garment of clothing or dak himself and the constant giggling of Mogni. We missed it.
Great..another cannon cache. Nothing suspicious about 3 people with torches lying on the ground under a cannon fiddling with it during the lead up to Anzac day. Apparently not because we made the find and skidaddled before the local blue boys turned up. Took the geocoin. Thanks The Silver Snitch.

I found this one after several return visits. And it is always in the first place a person looks (I must of had a blokes look). Anyway all good now.
And yes, the guy next door plays his music loud
Dropped off a geocoin/trackable (somehow managed to get it in and so hope it does not pop out).

Nice stop in this peaceful park to find this cache. I am always wary of looking for small magnetic caches on artillery as there is so many places to conceal something. However cache was found quite quickly. TFTC The Silver Snitch.

On a visit from the Gold Coast we were located within walking distance of this one so naturally it was No1 on our list. Took a wee while to finally grab it and sign the log which was a trifle damp. dried out after a while and all secured. TFTC
Took longer in the rain than it should have if I'd paid attention to the clue (newby!). Cannon caches drive me nuts but they are always interesting and I can't resist them. My problem. Thanks TSS.

While Sully1 and I tried to unconspicuously find this one, a couple were sitting and relaxing on the nearby seat. The lady smiled and asked if we were playing that 'game', "oh, what it's called, that's right, geocaching" We nearly fell over, apparently their daughter is a cacher in Adelaide, so they ended up helping with the search. Thanks again The Silver Snitch, a different hide from most on these guns, and a great story to relate down the track.
Found with bogonghazy whilst on a flying visit to S.A. from Mexico to do a few Trails. This one was picked up on our Loxton, Berri, Barmera and over to Morgan run on a glorious sunny day. As mentioned in bogonghazys log, the grandparents of an Adelaide cacher just happened to be sitting and enjoying the warmth of the late afternoon in the park. We chatted to them for a few mins, after our find. Thanks to The Silver Snitch.
Travelling home from Oz mega and getting a few caches on the way.
Late at night and I was getting tired however this did not take me as long as I expected before I had a successful locus cache event.

First find in this past-time of Geocaching, one close to home. Being there after dark I almost got a shower by the sprinklers starting up on their timer!
There are times when I would like to divorce my hubby and today was one of them. I had asked him to look in a particular place, not there he says. We continue looking and I go back to the spot I had asked him to look and found a cache. In his defense he tells me that he thought I had meant an item nearby, as if. SL TFTC
yeah no one around today and a find was made just wish i could bend the knee properly
I was up in Glossop overnight for a $2 million fire at a local factory and took the time on the way home to grab some caches in the heat and the wind.

#2301 Found whilst in Barmera, South Australia for a good friends 40th birthday bash. We had arrived before everyone else so we thought we'd fit some caching in in the interim. Pulled the GeoTriton up in the shade and took a stroll in this lovely little park. Dad located the cache quicker than anticipated and we enjoyed sitting on the grass logging our find. Even better that today we had the place to ourselves. Thanks for the cache The Silver Snitch
Another find on our afternoon out caching. We managed to find all 27 caches on our list this afternoon [^]. We have done a number of this type of cache & checked all the likely hiding spots. But not there. Looked a bit more to reveal a cache SL TNLN TFTC
I always cring when I see these types of locations, I have yet to actually find a cache on these, usually Bowz2 has to find them while I am on the side saying 'don't put your hand in there!', or 'be careful of spiders!'. This one was no different.[8)] So once 'we' found it it was great!!!! TFTC
Quick few caches whilst in the area visiting Bowz2's dad a recent new inhabitant at Pioneer lodge with Mags2
Bowz2 and Mags2 are ex-Riverlanders
Mags2 grew up in Barmera Bowz2 in Cadell however we met in Port Augusta!
So nice to spend some time back home visiting some old haunts of ours via some caches...
Geocaches and canons usually = A Grumpy Bowz2
And Bowz2 HATES Nano’s especially on canons!!!!
Luckily this isn’t a Nano!! phew
However quickly came up trumps and Bowz2 smiled for a while
Many years ago Bowz2 used to work across the road and spent many a lunch hour sitting here in the sunshine, Bowz2 also reminisced about many of the family names here knowing and remembering many of the descendants

We found this cache today at 1:15pm as the 9th of 16 on our Overland Corner to Ramco caching trip with Bazzars. After lunch at the Orange Grove Bakery we got to this one and we found it in exactly the spot that I would have placed it. I like that on cannons. Thanks from D & H B-A.
