Logs
A new cache is in place 140m away in the middle of the old dump site amongst some decaying car parts.
Cleaned up what was left, which wasn't much. Must have been a good fire, the 60 litre cache was surrounded and covered with substantial logs, but it's all gone. Just a few bits of metal to retrieve.
The original location will now not support a cache, so I need to decide if I reactivate in a nearby location, or whether it is enough of a new experience to archive and re-list.

We will call this found, however all we found was the burnt remains of the cache. A controlled burn was conducted In Nov 2011 and the cache and contents have gone up in smoke. Picking over the ashes its quite easy to identify some of the items including a car radio.
If I'd known just how enormous this cache was, I could have foregone the council rubbish pickup last week and brought in my old PC Tower . Came in from the NW through the forest, then bashed my way in passed the dam to the north of GZ. Great Cache!

Another historic location shown to us by a couple of locals and the biggest cache we have ever found. Taken a car and left a car.
Picked up on our travels through the area. This is the biggest cache we have ever seen, great to see it wasnt another bloody micro in a bush. Picked up Geocoin. TFTH
Wow, looks like there are some busy beavers in the park there with their dam construction work.
A nice little stroll in the park that has long been left undone by us as we have always had our geomutt with us when we have been driving in this area.

Cache number 8 and find number 6 - on our epic geo-caching day out today.
1:10pm - found the cache, after awhile searching in the wrong spot.
Awesome cache - neither the wife or I have seen one like it before.

I was surprised to see that there was a DNF on this one.....it was in the dark though, 'cos this is one truly humungus cache! No exchange just signed the log...after I found it1 TFTC.
Bit of a walk with a sore foot. Def the largest cache ever. Took toy kettle, left Super marker pen.
What a fantastic cache to find on 10-10-10. We were determined to find one cache today and I'm so glad this was the one! The weather was wonderful for a short walk in the bush, and the hide was certainly a sight to behold. TNLN. TFTC!!
No kidding... What a huge container Found this one with MissyLJ and Jnr nowhere. A short walk through the bush and a close up experience with a blue tongue lizard on the way back to the geo-ute. We wanted to do at least one cache on 10-10-10. I am glad this was it

Found on the way to a family footy day at Birdwood. I didn't bring any large swag with me, so TNLNSL.
Nice big cache container,Cache in,trash out,not this time, too much trash[rubbish to us aussies].tftc sl
Great hidden dump. Sure wish it wasn't covered up. Damp conditions weren't any deterrent. Nearby Acacia tree in full bloom makes a beautiful spectacle at this time of year. Love the Kettle. TFTC
Kids loved this one. We will lways remeber it due to the size. Left Camp Stool. Took PCB (No idea why, but the kids wanted it Cheers Bommy
Second of three caches after an afternoon of mountain biking in the forest. I thought this was going to almost be a "drive by" but that's what you get for not reading the notes properly. Oh well, a pleasant short walk on a nice day and the biggest cache container I've ever seen. TFTC.
What a pity that the dump has been covered up. Would have had fun looking through what would be treasures now. I thought it would stand out, so went for a bit of high ground to look around and couldn't see it. Nicely hidden for such a large cache. I was looking right over the top of it. Took food containers, left tennis ball. TFTCSL. Ohhh... couldn't find a pen or pencil, so left my pen.
One of the largest caches I've found nothing inside for me today. Large pre 33k broken modem? Broken Cd drive? They've even bulldozed all the junk I could have taken home. But I found the cache. Yippee!! cheers.
Easy find on a drizzly late afternoon...... coooooooool cache container. Big enough to fit my co-cacher Keyrings!!!! Now what could i swap for her!!!!
Nice walk, with my brolly in the drizzle. I did suggest to my Co-coacher CPWanderer to take the kettle but didn't know he was considering me as a swap until I read his post hahahhaa Left a doll picture frame
Nice refreshing early morning walk after some overnight rain. Gotta love those big caches. TN L: CD Rom drive and Modem. TFTC
My second biggest cache so far. Expected to see seagulls in the area, instead I got lots of maggies. Love dthe cache. Took nothing, left roo. TFTC.
A short walk to a humungous cache. Gotta love a big cache! Lots of and lots of chuffs flew off as we made our way across the old dump area.
Thanks Dik

VERY VERY COOL.. what a HUGEEEEE cache... loved it!!
Kids had a great time looking for this one.. although we realised once we started walking to it that we weren't really 'dressed appropriately'... but part of that is having girls who insist on being in 'pretty dresses and high heels' at all times! (although i think after this walk we may have convinced them to at least have some spare pants in the boot!)
Took Exquisite Aquarium Coin (Dorkfish).. Left Big Foot TB
** no other TB's were in the Cache **

#132 This certainly gets our vote as the largest cache we've seen!! Not having read the cache details and my GPS only telling me it was Large, we had a laugh when we saw just how big it was!! Saw a couple of kangaroos but nothing slithery. Wouldn't like to do this one late at night, adventurous enough in the receeding light. Didn't bring any swaps in with me so TNLN. Thanks for the hunt.
What a cache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Couldn't believe the size.
An enjoyable walk through that beautiful purple weed.
A slithering creature was sighted but not too close to g.z.
Our third find for the day.

Wow! Talk about huuuuge. Haven't come across a cache that contained a kettle before. Geoson was looking for the kitchen sink. Thankyou for organising the hunt and giving us a chuckle on the way home. T: Stop Trackable, L: Snoopy & Car (biggest swaps we could lay our hands on). Thankyou for organising the hunt.
Found it!!! Was relatively easy to find.
I realise now why I could not find it in the dark...I was looking in the completely wrong section...so, I take it back that it level 5 difficulty when attempting it in the dark.
Was not met by any kangaroos today, but did hear many wildlife noises in the distance..

Well, tonight, I was really keen on finding this cache...
I realised that the cache was only one and a half star difficulty, so I thought I would give myself a challenge, and go and find it in the dark, and I was expecting that darkness would not affect anything...
Well, I was proved wrong, and searched around for ages, and could not find a thing...
So, just a warning for those who might be planning to find this one at night: if attempted at night, the difficulty level goes to 5!!
Will have to attempt this one in the day time...

Woops....my log was supposed to be the "did not find" catergory of logs, for those who were a lil confused...
Found no worries in a camp fire. Good effort to place such a cache there. Left a BIG tb and took a Gc Thx for the cache Dik
Left paint set and goe coin (aue7ev) and took cards
And yes this cache will be very hard to beat for size....

Wow so big cache ever I have seen.... Beauty bushland - plenty kangaroos and Rabbit etc etc... Enjoyed walk along to the cache. Took TB. SL. Thanks Dik: for organising the cache and hunt.
Yeah, enormous! Probably has to be the biggest cache we've ever found. Dropped a TB (in bag with the log so it doesn't get lost!), otherwise TNLNSL.
Cheers!

WOW. THATS HUGE!!!!

Found at 1:40 PM. A big cache that generally requires big 'items', however a plastic bucket inside acts as a convenient receptacle for the log book and smaller 'items'.
Bush walk provides an ideal opportuity to see wildlife, however all I saw was one hare and lots of flies!
Took Yellow Cat and left Brown Horse.

Had my daughter with me got to see a mob of kangaroos up close, she was very excited when SHE found the cache. Beautiful spot.
Decided to check this cache out on our way home. After walking up to the open space, we were met by a few dozen kangaroos. After taking our time, the kangaroos soon disappeared into the bush, leaving us to find this somewhat large cache. Easy to spot. TNLN TFTC.
Easy to find this cache, just had to try and dodge the rain drops today.
Took the trackables to move along.

Went Geocaching with POLKYS QUEST today... dropped off 'Dolphin 2 Surf Board' POLKYS QUEST found some bullets Good cache!!!
Nice to see a larger container for a change. Thanks.
I wonder what remediation has been done to the site. Even a clay cap would help.

Took a circuitous (and more difficult) route to the cache and then beelined it on the way out.
Great to be out in the bush.
Thanks again Dik:.

This is my 89th find and by far the largest container! WOW! Got here in the dark with trusty headlamp. I plundered the geocoins. Sorry - couldn't resist - SHINY SHINY coins. I will move on. Left Jar Jar Binks TB. TFT gr8 C.
I have only seen one bigger cache. This one looked a bit out of place we thought. Just as well it is a little visited site. Left an alien adn took the TB who was sitting patiently waiting for us.Interesting to see what the area looks like. Great bit of park.
Over 1200 cache finds, and that's the biggest one I've come across yet. Must have been fun constructing the disguise! Cheers from Featherwaite.
Took a rather circuitous route owing to the multitude of kangaroos lazing about at the site. Saw two separate groups of about a dozen each, joeys included. Having done the deed, as it were, we returned to the car to find an echidna wandering along by the road. Although initially camera shy, he/she soon showed their little face. TFTC
A quick easy find. Not too bad a spot despite it used to be a dump...
TNLNSL
Thanks

Having not heard me quietly say that there are some kangaroos just there, Chugger nearly had forty-fits when he ascended the small ebankment, he got over this pretty quickly though when I suggested I leave him in the cache as a swap - TFTC
Now that's another big cache, no excuses not to find this one! Left the Apache TB. TFTC
Found this one late in the afternoon. Great cache - left frog and Geocoin Scotland.
The Puddleduck farmers revisited this cache with the geograndkids and dog. Took a box of animals and left a whistle.
Various events in our lives has had us tethered to the metro area for the last few weeks, but today I was determined we were going to get out of the concrete jungle and get some dirt under our feet. Several walking caches have appeared recently dotted about the northern hills area, and although the trek to this one was short, it was still enjoyable.
The dump probably looks a whole lot better that it did when it was in operation. Plant a few trees there, and you’d never know [^]
When we found the cache, I realised that I had forgotten that it was an enormous one. The swap that I had brought with me would have fitted inside an Eclipse container , so naturally I made no swaps. Nice cache, tho . Cheers Dik

Found by the Puddleduck farmers and farmer's dog.Now that's what I call a cache!!Forget those micros! Took a dinosaur and left a kangaroo and signed the log.
Found at 16:55 after meeting The Kettles on their way out, had a good chat then went direct to the cache in the fading light and followed the tracks back out.
Thanks Dik: for a very BIG cache. Left a green canister of plastic toys, Took nothing though F wandered the old site looking for interesting rusty bits of iron to add to her garden collections. Cheers 'scargoes (P&F)

The Kettle Kids were looking forward to doing this one and they took a friend along to introduce him to caching. We saw plenty of roos and the kids also claimed they saw some deer! They were not disappointed by the cache - a great hide. They took the boxing gloves (although Mum wanted to put them on to keep her hands warm) and the Phonebox TB. There was no sign of any other TB's or Coins. Left "Bugs" and "Donald" and Yellow Jeep TB.
Skippy seems to attract lots of Skippy's
We had encounters all the way to the cache
Swapped out the backhoe for a pair of kids handsets.
My grandson will love this treasure.

That would be right we didn't read notes and notice the TB!!
TNLNSL But there is a heap of good stuff I had for the Salvos, some new, so I guess it will be going to a different home in the near future
(Maybe be bit careful if you cross the old dump site , it looks to be falling in in places...don't want to end up with the rubbish...ewww!)
