Send me an email if you want to unarchive this one, and I can place a new container (assuming it wasn't a too special hide/container).
Sorry I have to archive this Station. Unable to visit Adelaide as frequently as I wish to replace this one.
I still want to get this cache back up and in service. I'll sort something out within the next two weeks.
Oh dear, oh dear. It was a sight that makes every cacher cringe. No cache container, just an empty plastic bag and the log lying on the ground. Boo hoo.
I picked them up and have them with me. Unluckily I didn't have a spare container in the car.
I will contact the owner.

One of the saddest scenes is a disued railway station - it highlights that our methods of transportation have changed dramatically and a once proud facility is now useless. It took a few minutes seraching before this cache was located. TFTC SIDEandHEEK
Found this one whilst getting supplies from Mt Barker. This place is awesome and I'm surprised I havent been here before. Can just imagine people milling round waiting for a train. Just couldn't help myself and had to have a closer look inside. Cheers Mr B
keeping my "days cached streak" alive, I dived out for this one without my geocaching brain. couldn't find it... checked the old station out (why have a barbed wire fence that doesn't go all the way round???) and then went back and found it glad no one was around to see my poor look the first time! TFTC.
Over in Adelaide with Team Crackers for a extra long and hot weekend.
Thanks Side and Heek

Traveling home with Mr Coffee and the Coffee Clan after our long weekend caching in Adelaide this was our seventh cache for the day . The grass was quite long here, we were pleased not to meet any of our slithery friends. The cache was found in the first place we looked.
Thanks SIDEandHEEK for the cache

WOW!! I loved this location.
It was like stepping back in time to the old locomotive days with the classic old station house and platform!
After a quick search, I found the cache!!!

Rabbit!
An easy find with no trains to be seen. Curious that they have such a big security fence here that you can just walk around the ends of. Why bother? TFTC

Took a bit of searching and were about to give up until we thought about it and Chief Firefly came up with the gold! Great to see parts of the countryside we would otherwise have never known was there! TFTC
Did some caching on our way from the Barossa down to Strathalbyn & then across to Adelaide for a couple of christmas get togethers. A quick & easy find. SL TNLN TFTC A bit sad to see our railway era slowly changing & disappearing. Find #496
One of our cache finds with visiting geocaching team from Darwin, Gibbo003. An enjoyable cache and an enjoyable though wet day out in the hills. No problem finding this micro. TNLN. Thanks SIDEandHEEK
Out for the day with Liz and Bruce for a cache run in the Adelaide hills. Nice easy find at the old Mt Barker junction. Thanks SIDEandHEEK for the cache and the hunt.
I was in the neighbourhood so I dropped on by to check out my geocache. All is well - log has been damp in the past but all is dry now in a ziplock bag.
WOW ! We were surprised at how much of this station has survived [^].
TNLNSL.
Our last for the day.
Thanks for showing us this place SIDE and HEEK .

A nice quick find today.
Skipped out for a caching half day.
It's a pitty these old stations get so neglected.
Wouldn't like to do this one in summer with all the long grass!
Found nice and easy at GZ.
Cheers and happy caching.

Hello, if you plan to visit this geocache and would like to be helpful, are you able to plan to take a small paper strip log and tiny ziplock bag to replace this log. It sound as if the elements have got to it and the log needs replacing. I'm currently interstate and unable to replace log for the moment. Thanks in advance if you are the person to keep this cache alive for me

Found at 1:30 PM with XBRmob, but was un-able to sign log because it was too wet and fragile.
Interesting historic location with easy find.......if you look in the last place first!

Another unused railway station that I think short sighted politicians closed down (car is king! mentality). Good hide. The paper was getting a little worse for wear and you need to take pen with you (probably no room for a pen/pencil). Tnlnsl. Tftc.
Never knew this station existed ,thanks for the history lesson
the cache took some finding it's amazing how strong that magnet was very clever place

This station looks a bit different today then how it used to be. No trains today. TFTC
This was our 99th cache since we started. The Master Jedi wife was keen to knock 100 by the end of today.

[xx(] Found on the ground away from the spot it is intended.
Found the intended spot harder to find though.
Nice bit of history though, and the trains coming through the cutting make a spectacle.

This was a great location. Forgot to take the info with us so could not remember what we were looking for. Took us a little while and were cross when we found it as we walked past a million times before finding it. Thanks for the history.
Wow, that picture looks a lot different from todays fenced up shack. Started hunting around looking for the cache around GZ. Realised we didn't know what size we were looking for. As soon as we discovered the size we had a good idea where it was and went straight to the cache.

The place was deserted today compared with the other day. The house nearby must have wondered what all the traffic was down the track. And what a house it is nearby!
Thanks Side and Heek, enjoyed finding this one.

How satisfying it is to walk away with a smiley face telling the GPS - I TOLD YOU SO!! Especially after seeing all the evidence of places others hadn't found it. SL TFTC
Found on a busy day at the junction by the looks. Was surprised to find the ststion still intact.Thx SideandHeek for the cache.
Sad that the steam Ranger can't go From Adelaide any more it was a great trip.

Found with Mossy 95. Great little hiding spot, we walked straight past it several times before spotting it.
Would never have known about this little old station if it hadn't been for geocaching. Thanks
A top spot for a train to stop. Basically mostly down hill from here. I took a pic of the lovely sign.
Clear skies from TeamAstro.
Last of the series and found in the most appropriate place. The fence around the station is a waste of time.
This is the first in the series for us.
What a great time geo grandson and I had today.
He was disappointed no trains were about for him to wave to so headed off to Mt Barker station to look at old trains.
Had to keep eagle eyes open for snakes but none in sight .
Looking foward to the next in the series further down the track.
Remember catching the train when a child from Mt Barker to Adelaide.

Like others, I have driven past here many times and never realised the old station was still here. Thanks for organising the cache.
Cheers!

Picked this one up on our return from Port Elliot. GPSr had us about 4m inside the fence but after a look around we spotted it.
AND OUR 700th CACHE!

Found 09:05 just after the school drop off. It's a sad state of affairs, surely as part of the increasing the population in the hills re-opening this line should be investigated as a viable option? Quick find. TNLNSL.
I've driven past here often enough but never knew this roadway and remnants of the old station existed. Thanks for a very informative cache SIDEandHEEK. Looking forward to doing the next in the series.
The picture of the station doesn't look anything like it does now. Thanks for the cache!
Dropped the Daughter off for her second softball game for the day at Littlehampton, so had a some time for some exercise of my own - Caching
Another one off the list and exactly where I would put it. TFTC.

Last of 11 finds for the night, and only one train back at the start. This place looks different in the dark! Thanks for the cache.
And after giving up the hunt at Mt Lofty due to muggle activity it was a quick drive to Mt Barker and another FTF [^]
Cheers again!
