Hi

I'm sorry, but your recent move has brought your cache too close to the Traditional Cache of "Animal Facts : Flying Snake" http://coord.info/GC4QQCM and will need to be moved. Please read the following item on cache saturation http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachesaturation

I've disabled this listing for the time being, could you please move it to a new location that fits within the saturation guidelines. Once that is done you may enable the cache.

Regards
John

Found this one after reading the below note - it looks like it's been through a lot. I couldn't manage to get the log out as its crammed at the bottom of the cache. Clever hide, though. Thanks.

12-Jun-17
Having decided that it was a great day for a walk and a picnic in Kuitpo we planned to collect some more in the Animal Facts series along the way. It is always interesting to read about the animals - a very appropriate location for the container! TFTC [:]

13-May-17
Had found this cache on 1/8/15, and we parked the car here to take the geodog for a walk. Noted that the receptacle that the cache is in had been knocked down. Found the cache container on the ground about 10 ft away, then found the lid nearby, then found the log even further away. Considered myself lucky to find them all before they were destroyed/blown away. Put them all back together and fixed things up as best as I could.

04-Sep-16
One of two DNFs on a lovely Father's Day outing with the whole family, as we went on a 5km walk through Kuitpo Forest tracking down some of 3LG's 'Animal Facts' caches. Some of the trail was under water after yesterday's heavy rains, so while today's weather was cloudy but fine, we still ended up with muddy shoes and soggy socks. It didn't dampen our spirits though as we racked up the cache finds and had a great day out. Thanks for the hunt. Will try again another day.

29-Aug-16
Well, this is the third time I have looked for this chimp.

Traveling through on the B34 today and I was able to make a few finds in the area. Hoping to come back one day to do the ones on the trails as well, but it would definitely need to be a bit cooler than it was today!

Arrived to find the Monteraj family here thought I'd wait til they were done so spent some time removing grass seeds from my socks. Eventually Mr M came over and asked me if I was looking for a cache. I suggested where I was going to look and he made the quick find TFTC it was a good one!

Gee wiz - the GPS was going bonkers here. I was jumping from tree to tree and then gave up. Went to find some others in this series.

Returned soon after to have another go and another geocacher arrived, who suggested we stick to the hint. A quick find followed.

Very clever and very sneaky hide. Geowife was impressed.

Great hide. Many thanks. Love doing these.

01-Aug-15
Managed to get all 41 caches in this area today with the Geowife. It drizzled on and off most of the day and took us about 5 hrs / 13km of walking to get them all - quite a rewarding experience - particularly finding them every 5 mins or so as we walked. Saw heaps of kangas, lots of birds and sloshed through countless puddles and overflowing creeks. Cooked up hot noodles and a hot cuppa for lunch at the edge of the forest - a tops day out.
Thanks for the cache!
A good hide this one - I missed it but the Geowife found it

Day 3 McLaren Vale.
Today we went into the forest searching for some animals. This was our first sunny day in ages, the ground was still wet, slippery & some puddles to negotiate in places.
Hubby walked one section of the trail while I did another.
Parked the car near this cache had a quick look but didn't see it but when we returned we found the sneaky chimpanzee just hanging around.
Thanks for placing this cache 3LG

The Geo Daughters 1pinkexplorer and 1funnyhoney had 2 pupil free days. We thought it would be good to go off camping. What better than to go camping where there are lots of caches to find. Had a great time camping at Chookarloo. Loved finding this cache and a few others near by as it meant that we had to go walking in the forest spending time as a family.

On the first day half of team the_xtrailers has to work. So I was taking the girls out ahead of time to get an extra night of camping in. We were going to meet up with Hevwalker12 to do some caches in Kyeema and surrounding areas. As we had reached the forest early we thought we would take a short walk and collect some caches while we waited. A nice short walk for the kids to get started

A sensational break

Darknstormy and i got ourselves up early on this beautiful day and put our bikes on the back of Darknstormy's geowagon and headed to the forest for some bike riding and cache gathering Smile

Most of the path was nice and easy but the tractors have carved up some of the inner paths and bike riding was made alot harder and near impossible in some parts. We also came across some fun water crossings where Darknstormy powered though without fear and i was a bit more unsure and ended up on my butt in a deeper one Razz Where as Darknstormy nearly needed to be towed out of one Razz

I love the size of many of the containers we come across today and all the caches were full of swaps and well looked after which makes it more fun to find Smile

Thanks for bringing us here 3LG and helping us with an excuse to get the bikes nice and muddy( and also our selves) and apologies for a generic log, i wish i could personalize them more but unless we log as we go, i just cant remember all the details Sad

Thanks 3LG Very Happy

07-Sep-14
Furrangel and I decided it was time to brush off the cobwebs on the Geobikes ad go for a bit of a ride..

So we set out to do about half of the caches here so we have another excuse to come back. In some places it was unrideable due to the mess the trucks have made due to the recent logging. Also there is plenty of water around making some off the areas very muddy. Which Furrangel found out hehehe... lets just say someone decided to see how cold the water was.. My self I headed for every puddle I could see.. testing my balancing skills... Lets just say i nearly needed a snatch strap in one of the mud holes. lol Other than having to push the bikes at certain parts it was a nice ride and we got more done than we thought.

Looking forward to getting back to do the rest hopefully the water has moved on..

Thanks for the caches 3LG and the now sore bums ..... will deffently be looking at a new seat for the bike! Was also great to see another flock of Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoo's flying but as we aproched the first cache on the list

Sorry for the generic log... you know how it is... and you gotta expect it. Very Happy

01-Sep-14
We set out for an afternoon of caching having decided to explore Kuitpo and the many many caches hidden here.
When we arrived I realised that the download had not worked on the GPS (it does that sometimes). We weren't planning on driving home again for an hour to rectify the situation, so I did another download to the tablet and we went from there. Problem with the tablet is that the co-ords aren't very accurate. So, we ended up doing what we could in the time available by transferring the co-ords for each cache manually into the GPS as we walked around.
An excellent series 3LG, love the animal facts and the walk. We have given this one a fav. point on behalf of the series.
We will return for the remainder.

12-Aug-14
After recent rains I was lucky enough to do this series on an almost perfect walking day - sunny but cool. I foudn the coordinates to be gernerlly very good, especially given some of the tree cover. The maintenance of the theme throughout, and te information on each cache shows the excellent effort put into making this more than just a bunch of caches, as was the variety of hides.

I did not have a single DNF which was mostly due to the findable hides and maintenance, so many thanks for that.

All in all this was a most enjoyable experience, that even that logging didn't dampen much. I walked it all and didn't record the time but it would have been about 4 hours.
Thanks again 3LG.

Decided to do a few caches in this series yesterday afternoon after paying my cousin a surprise visit at the nearby Chookarloo Campground, This was the second of the day, I was rather ambitious downloading 29 caches to my GPS but managed to do them all! Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.

Currently camped in Kuitpo Forest we decided we better get out on the Electric GeoBikes today as the track is likely to be the driest it's going to be for a while. Wink

We had a great ride but thought we would start at Peregrine Falcon but soon found our way blocked by logging works so our list was reversed and we started at Chimpanzee and had to ride in/out the same way. Twisted

Surprised to see so many people about today! We first met a hiking group who contained geocachers Surprised in fact they muggled us at Mosquito which was a DNF for all of us. Sad Then we saw 3 cyclists out and about mountain biking through the forest. Cool Further along we saw a lady walking her dog Razz

Then near the end of the trip we saw 2 work vehicles obviously checking on the logging works. Not to mention a cow on the wrong side of the fence and a mob of perhaps 100 kangaroos watching us at 1 cache alone. Big Grin

We enjoyed the ride and are disappointed that we may not get to finish the disabled caches in this area. Great variety of hides and cache types and sizes.

A great little series and obviousy a lot of thought and effort has gone into the series. We will be giving a few fave points to individual caches today.

The GPSr did not want to settle here so after a few mins and no cache we talked about the animal and Mr Felix soon had the cache in hand. Nice hide indeed.

TFTC 3LG and we congratulate you on your first year of caching obviously was a very busy year for you! CoolRazz
