Out butchwalking in the Monarto Forest today. Lots of trees down and nests on the ground Tftc CPwanderer
Quick find after work. I have a few, days,of no finds that I am trying to fill. TFTC CPwanderer.
Found it! A cool start to whats going to be a fairly warm winters day. Starting off around Monarto to continue clearing up this area. Third find of the day. TFTC!
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Bit chilly but not raining. Thanks CPwanderer
Travelling with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip.We are staying in Murray Bridge for a few days and doing a bit of sightseeing around the area using geocaching as our guide.A special thank you must go to CPwanderer who has placed so many quality, hides along kilometres if walking tracks in this area. Well done.
It was a great afternoon for caching in perfectly calm sunny weather, What better place to visit, but the bush and find some caches.Thank you to CPwanderer for this group of caches. We had a relaxing and fun afternoon.

Went for a walk in a park with Purrfect Di. Nice day for it. A few roos and bunnies out and about, some birdlife, but not a wriggly stick in sight Still don't mind the occasional cannon cache. Better than all those high in trees!

Apologies in advance for the generic log...
I spent the day tackling the vast sea of caches around the Monarto area. Mostly on foot and a few short drives in between.
Despite spending most of the day geocaching, I barely made a dent. Plenty more here for my next several visits to this location.
A perfect cool sunny day for bush walking. This is my favourite type of caching. Isolated trails, on foot, no muggles and easy finds. A masterclass by CPwanderer on how to design, create, deploy and maintain geocaches. All caches found without problems and were in great condition.
Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

Really needed a day out on the mountain bike to get a bit of exercise. Today was the perfect winter day and this area chosen as the destination. Really enjoyed riding around and collecting smileys. The caches were well maintained with accurate co-ordinates. Fantastic! Thanks CP much appreciated.
Thank you for the Monarto Forest caches CPwanderer. We took a bouncy ball and left something as an up-trade. TFTC.
A nice ride around the forest, all the caches were easy to find without any issues, lucky no snakes were seen.
A great day out with some stunning weather, plan was to go for a nice and easy ride around Monarto forest reserve and collect some caches in Butch walking and under statement series. There were also some new ones that had come out in the last few days so picked them up as well. Most important thing of all was finding my 6000th find, I was trying to hold off and find it once in victoria but could not help myself. Overall a total of 40 finds for the afternoon and no did not finds.
Thanks for the cache.

TFTC! Very easy find, it’s in great condition. Nice sunny day for a walk through the woodlands!!
Found what looked like the likely spot, but no cigar, Widened the search with the same result. Will return another day.
Confirmed with CO cache had gone, now replaced. Thanks for the cache and prompt maintenance.
Great day out in the bush. 14 caches found, lots of swaps distributed and fittingly, for the weekend in which Adam West passed away, we saw plenty of robins - of the red cap and hooded varieties. TFTCs.
Spent a wonderful sunny winter afternoon wandering around the Monato Forest grabbing caches with the geowife and geodog. Saw roos and a large hare, plus plenty of birds (including what looked like scarlet robins). Found all caches in this area between the Princes Hwy and the train line. Thanks for the series CP Wanderer - we thoroughly enjoyed this outing! Signed logs.
Mr Tardis was on the way to CP's event in Monarto Forest, and stopped by here to find this one on a Butchwalking quest.
I found the cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

Been to the nearby event and had a lovely time and a yummy lamington.

found with the mini maker and getnict while on route to the CO's nearby event. 3rd cache on route to event. Mini maker getting really heavy by now since she only walked the first 120 metres to the first cache. quick find and of to the event and a well deserved rest there.
Definitely a great place for a wander. Saw lots of Monarch caterpillars amongst the milkweeds, and a small flock of Currawongs... heard many other birds, too, including Adelaide Rosellas that I didn't see. Lifted a few of the roof tiles scattered around and found cockroaches, millipedes, slaters/woodlice and the other 'usual suspects', but no orienteering evidence. Was the first in the group to spot the cache from a way away... signed log and covered the container a little better.

After the nearby event it was back to the car and just one more cache was on our path back to the car. An easy fine with an Own and a rat. TFTC and the fun.
Having completed one series, the team decided to try for a few more in this one on the way back to the car. The rest will have to be done on another day!
After doing the nearby series of caches, it was back to the event for a brief rest.
Then reformulate our plan for after the event.
walking back to the car we just had to stop for one more cache. Tftc

What better use of a public holiday than to go for a walk and pick up a few caches along the way. While we were enjoying our walk in the Monarto Forest we saw several kangaroos, lots of monarch butterflies and large flocks of what we think were pied currawongs. At this time of the year the bark on some of the mallees looked almost polished. Thanks for creating this series.
Quick find whilst passing through this lovely area

After caching to the north and east of Murray Bridge yesterday, we concentrated on caching closer today. In particular we focussed on the "Walkies" and "Butchwalking" series with some additional caches along the way. We really enjoyed walking through the reserves - so different to reserves and parks at home. Along the way we appreciated the variations in the trunks of the trees, particularly some of the gum trees, and the flowering gums were superb. The area, however, was incredibly dry. Throughout the forest there were furrows in the ground reminiscent of plantations at home - we wondered if the area had been a plantation at some time in the past.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks CPwanderer for the cache and the "Butchwalking" series.

I'd been in Adelaide for a couple of meetings so what better than to stop for a couple of caches on the way home. Decided to finish the butch walking series it was a pretty hot day for April got through a bit of my water and my Fitbit steps for the day were off the chart. TFTC and this series!
Enjoying this series with Utechick81 and Geo-dog Murray. SL. TFTC ( I hate it when it says there is a travel bug and it isn't there)

While Mrs C was out shopping with her mum, Mr C decided to go out and grab some caches. I did approximately 10kms of walking during the morning . A good lot of caches found, with no slithery ones about although I encountered 3 sleepy lizards and plenty of kangaroos.

Out for an afternoon's caching with the Double Helix Clan, we decided to start with the "Butchwalking" series. With two cars, including the DHC's 7-seater, we easily tackled the series in two sections with a lunch break in between. So Benjamin has taken his case to a higher authority - Mum - and she has agreed that one pine cone family member will be allowed to come home in the car. The remaining pine cone family members were last seen being hoicked by Pirate Luke back somewhere into the Monarto Forest. TFTC CPwanderer!
My 99th geocache and alas, I have to leave this beautiful area !! So close to the hundred.
We saw quite a few large kangaroos in this area and as we moved from the nearby caches they appeared to move with us, were they watching us? The listed TB is not in the cache. SL TFTC
Stop number three for the morning while finding a few more caches in this series. We left a travel bug in this cache, and at the time, I couldn't remember where we'd picked it up from. Unfortunately, upon getting home and logging this, it turns out we'd picked it up from Not Another Cannon Cache on our last visit here. Ooops! Oh well, at least it's seen a bit more of this great piece of bushland.
Thanks CPwanderer.
Thanks CPwanderer.
Found it on a beautiful crisp Saturday morning. Very peaceful out here and a perfect spot for a cache trail. TFTC
On a beautiful sunny day caching with GeoDad - upsanddowns we discovered many caches today. The weather was very conducive for collecting as many on foot as we could.

A nice easy find along a lovely trail in beautiful bushland. Lovely day of fine, but overcast weather. Perfect for completing a trail such as this. Had Geo Daughters (1pinkexplorer & 1funnyhoney) and friend Hevwalker12 with geomutts in tow
Found with fi&john. Great hide. Enjoying the series. TFTC. Might need sharpener soon.

Out for the day with DoubleHelixClan and messy61. We juggled vehicles and worked out the best plan of attack, including a lunch break about half way through. The weather was perfect really, not too warm and not too cool and we all enjoyed the outing. Thank you for a great collection of caches. Cache #2030.
Spent the day out with Crane2, DoubleHelixClan and new members Stunkypanda2006 and Gnomeo2007 as we tackled the Butchwalking series. Weather was fine and not too hot by the time we finished, but there were a few tired bodies. Really enjoyed the walk and the cache series. TFTC

After arriving at Z Ward with earthlight and Brodie at 7.30am this morning and then spending over 2 hours there absorbing the atmosphere and fantastic building and history with travellinbees, Harleyjohn2569, JM Minion and 3LG the group separated with 3LG going off to work, JM Minion heading off in another direction and the rest of us heading to meet CPwanderer at the Shank's Pony series.
At the start of Shank's Pony, Sylken, CP and Clare007 were waiting for us to enjoy the great walk through the bush there
Next on the list was the Butchwalking to a Cannon series!
I bogged the Corolla while putting it into a flat position so that poor old Brodie could lay comfortably on the back seat to rest while the rest of us walked various parts of this series Many thanks to Mr travellinbees for keeping Brodie company!
Mrs travellinbees, Harleyjohn2569 and I made it to #14 before the pulled muscles from the wayward stick back at Shank's Pony caused me to cease my journey and to gratefully accept CP's offer of a ride back to my car. Thank you, CP.
Thank you also for solving for us the mystery of why there are numerous black roofing tiles laying around in the park!
I really enjoyed the caches in a natural location [^]

A great day for a butchwalk with cooling southerly winds and sunny skies (mostly). So I put on my butchwalking shoes and set out to walk this series of caches. I saw lots of kangaroos and birds, adding two new birds to my twitchers list - red-capped robin and brown-headed honeyeater. I also came across many groups of white-winged chough and a group of white-browed babblers.
I also saw lots of sleepy lizards but no snakes (thank goodness). This area is great for walking being mainly flat with not much undergrowth.
Thanks for a series that gave me lots of exercise CPWanderer.

With decent weather being forecast a plan was hatched to do some walking caches today in company with Sylken. Mrs Felix was the designated driver (drop n go) and book reader for the walkers. Although she did manage to walk 1 series today.
Fabulous weather and company, caches in good order and with good co-ords made for a really enjoyable day. (except for the enormous mosquitoes that seemed to follow us everywhere [xx(] )
We saw plenty of goannas, lots of birdlife out and about, some butterflies, kangaroos, and even an orchid on the side of the track.

Geohubby and I have just arrived in Murray Bridge to spend a few weeks tackling the many caches in the area. We were originally booked for the Mega event at Easter but family illness meant we had to cancel at the last minute. We are now able to try to add some more smileys to our tally. We have spent some very enjoyable times with FelixII since they arrived in SA after meeting them at a big event they organised in Busselton WA in 2013.
We were lucky enough to catch up with them again before they move further south, eventually heading for Victoria. Today we tackled a few caches that have been published since they were in Murray Bridge last.
We tallied 45 finds and no DNF's. All caches had excellent co-ords and were in good condition. I apologise for the generic log....I suspect with so many caches to be found around here that there will be many more such logs but we really appreciate all the work, time and effort that has been put into each and every cache by the CO's.
Glorious weather, fantastic company and a tidy sum of smileys made for a very enjoyable day.
Many thanks for the hide CPwanderer [^]

We set off on this series in what looked like a lovely stroll in the park..literally.
Green grass underfoot and lovely trees all around. The grass (well, really a carpet of soursobs) looked well trimmed.
Little did we realise that by the time we did the series to the end (with the couple of extras) and returned to the car that we would have done 11.33kms! We were a little weary by then.
We saw a bit of wildlife: a couple of hares, a number of kangaroos, a gang of monarch birds which seemed to follow us, and numerous currawongs.
Unlike Ferries MacDonald park, there wasn't much in the way of wildflowers, although we did see some gorgeous grevilleas in flower. There were lots of various fungi around. Some having been dug up by creatures unknown. We think that the kangaroos and wallabies eat them, as do bandicoots. But this is at home in Tassie, so not sure if its the same here.
Aren't we lucky that we have access to areas as lovely as this. And aren't we lucky that dedicated cachers like CPwanderer go to so much effort to place caches in these areas to encourage us to come and use them.
Thank you again CPwanderer, a thoroughly enjoyable series and walk.

Drizzly and wet in the hills so decided to head to a dryer clime. This series fitted the bill perfectly. A great series with spot on coords allowing for a pleasant walk. Only saw a couple of kangaroos. Wildlife a bit scarce today. TFTC CPwanderer.
A late afternoon walk on a cloudy day with the promise of drizzle but fortunately stayed away tackled the caches 1 to 13 until darkness descended, saw lots of birdlife, several types of fungi, a hare and some kangaroos. All caches in good condition TFTC
Out caching for the day in the bush! This series was very good and kept us cache occupied!
A little late logging so my apologies. This is a fantastic series, and an easy to share with the family. We found all sorts of wildlife when we weren’t making too much noise. TFTC.
Beautiful day for a walk in the park [^]
Started at one end and did the whole series, then returned at a nice leisurely pace.
Lots of roos and birds around today, and the occasional hare!
Cheers & TFTExercise CPW

Found with geokids and geomutt. Happy Star Wars Day - May the Fourth be with you! TFTC.
We targeted this series to do on our way home from the Mega. We luxuriated in being able to walk in nice crisp fresh air and not be totally soaked in sweat after the first 5 minutes. We also enjoyed just following the arrow on the GPSr with no set paths to walk on (good of you to train all those kangaroos to keep the grass nice and short CP).
Mr TiedyeSmileys was doing a good impression of 'Butch' walking with chest thrust out and taking the lead. The effect was ruined however when a monster hare the size of a small deer leaped out of a bush at his feet and pelted off nearly over his feet leaving him squealing like a school girl.
A great little series that really enjoyed.
