In Port Elliott today, cool windy day for caching out to get a few before the heat hits later this week. TFTC
severely damaged can’t really be salvaged, added a new log for the time being TFTC
Container is damaged and logbook is mouldy. See photo in my log and others before me.
Out for a drive with my son too get his hours up. Some sealed roads and some unsealed roads both wet and dry was good experience for him. This was one of our stops along the way. The container is in pieces and the logbook is saturated(see photo). TFTC
A trip down to Victor Harbor was organised for today with Michells&hound, primarily to get the new Adventure Lab caches down there and then working on a list of other caches that we both had not found. [^]
It was a lovely sunny day and we had a very enjoyable time driving around the area and stopping at Port Elliott Bakery for lunch. We found all the caches we looked for and turned a couple of DNF's into smilies which is always good.
Had a nice walk to this one and remarked on the nice bridge that had been built. Arrived at GZ and found the cache in pieces with a slimy wet log book that we didn't even want to touch. See photo. Didn't have another container to replace it with, but it certainly needs attention as per sir_spectre's Needs Maintenance log.
Thanks for the cache boab bill.

Today I headed to Victor Harbour with JJ52 with the primary goal of doing the new lab cache there. Of course it was a bit far to go just for the labs so caches were added in. We found all the caches we looked for but a few on our list we did not attempt.
Rex also came along for the trip and he was such a good boy and he had a brilliant day out. He is knackered now.
We enjoyed an excellent bakery lunch in Port Elliot and were amazed with the number of people still queuing for pies at 2pm!
Blessed with fantastic weather it was a wonderful day for caching.
We all enjoyed the walk to this one. Cute bridge. Container is decimated, needs replacing. TFTC BoabBill

found with mogni. took a walk along the heysen trail today. A short stroll and a quick find was made. The fruit container has a big hole in the side of it, needs replacement. 2 nd in this series so far that needs maintenance.
Impressed with the footbridge - someone put in a lot of effort.
Found it fairly quickly but a nice spot.
Found it fairly quickly but a nice spot.
We parked and walked to GZ, we found ourselves being watched by kangaroos, crossing a small bridge and thankfully not finding any snakes in the long grass. SL TFTC
Found after a search through some wet ground which ended in having wet shoes for the day.
Parked nearby and walked to get this one. My phone GPS had me 15m off, but i spied a good spot to hide a cache, and there it was. Signed log
Having had a long week at work and few disappointments it was time to get out and do something just for fun. Joined up with a friend and went on a night geocaching run.
Thanks to boab bill from mogni

D and LaStorm15 found this cache while away camping at Deep Creek conservation park. Bumped into the muggles we saw earlier finding this cache. Had a good chat explaining geocaching to them.

Happy memories of our previous Heysen trail adventure. This time I just wanted to do a short walk along a different section with the geohound, but after finding this cache, a stile and cow paddock put that idea to rest. We enjoyed the short section we did do anyway. Cache was found in the obvious spot on the right side of the trail approx 9m from where GPSr was telling me. TFTC
Lovely walk along a short section of the Heysen, 2 penguins picked up 2 penguins (TBs) to move them closer to their destinations. Love the bridge! TFTC
We enjoyed watching New Holland Honeyeaters on the way to this cache, and were careful not to touch the third wire! Dropped two penguin TBs that I had picked up in New Zealand. We were rained upon despite it being sunny 10 mins ago lol

We have a little streak going , our best yet, now at 22.
Staying in our holiday unit in VH so out we came.
Sun shone on the drive out here and now rain has started.
Lovely spot. Ground a bit soggy after recent rains.

Another day spent caching around the south. Today was a bit damper with rain most of the time. Saw a lot of wildlife today with roos, an echidna and also a deer that jumped in front of the car. Quick find. TFTC.
Took a while to find. The grass has grown.

Found with The X Trailers on holidays here from Qld and earthlight as well, it was a great 4 days with plenty of laughs along the way, toady we are now starting to make the homeward journey and the weather is quite nice to us with only a small passing shower, was a fairly quick find after walking through the long grass here being very wary of any moving branches. TFTC
Found after a Short walk in the woods. Think a gardener needs to walk this end of the trail. Found with The X-Trailers. TFTC.
Little wary of snakes along the trail
GPS had us on wrong side of trail
Earthlight said should be over here and it was

I was really expecting to encounter a snake on the stroll to this cache, and I'm shure I heard at least one rustling through the grass. Luckily the cache was a quick find, and then I was outta there like a shot.
We look forward to completing the other two caches in this series soon.
Thanks boab bill.

A lovely little walk along the Heysen with an interesting piece of German association.
Managed to disturb a bit of wildlife as well.

Headed to Victor Harbor with CPwanderer & clare007 for the day.
A nice walk along this part of the Heysen Trail...didn't get electrified...heard a rustle in the bushes close by then a kangaroo jumped away from us...took the TB to move on...TFTC boab bill

Located after a short search with clare007 and hevwalker12! Thanks boab bill for the hide!!
We stopped on way through the area, just for this one as we will come back another day to do the reat, and did about 130m of the Heysen Trail.
We also eventually found the cache about 10m away, after searching in vain for ages on the otherside of the track!
Sushilord's coords were of no use and we came up with...
S35 33.784 E138 33.595
TNLNSL although we did drop off a TB
Thanks

Took a minute to find it due to the abundance of sour sobs. Thanks for showing me a bit more of the Heysen Trail. TFTC boab bill
While staying at Adare we ventured out to find as many caches as we could in the area. Lovely scenery and we enjoyed finding this cache. Thanks to boab bill for placing this cache.
With the forecast for nice weather today it was time for a visit to the Victor Harbour area to clear away a few of the caches that have populated the area since I used to frequent the town.
I was surprised to see just how many new ones there is
With Astro we set about finding some of these little gems and this was one of them [^]
Cheers & TFTC

Not a drive by. By any stretch. A walk by. Saw walk it with ambitions.

I was worried about snakes approaching this cache but they were the least of my concerns at GZ, the GPSr took us to the obvious but we couldn't find anything, the search area widened without luck until it got wider still. At a guess S35° 33.778 E138° 33.597 would be more accurate.
Thanks for the cache boab bill.

A nice walk and a long search. All the obvious spots were no good, but Sushilord was on the ball and found the prize. The coordinates seem a bit off - the cache was found 10m north of them.
This part of the trail has long dry grass almost obscuring the track. Thanks boab bill.
A nice area on a nice day to go for a walk. Nice little series.

Here we were thinking we were ftf, but alas, someone has written in the log just a few hours ago! Definitely not somewhere I would enjoy going for a walk in summertime! Even today with a bit of drizzle I was a tad worried! My gps coordinates were out a bit, probably due to the terrain. Sent geoson in to where I would have put it if it were me and he came up with the goods! Dont poke around in the long grass or you may find something that you weren't expecting! Tftf
FTF at 1155, apologies for not being able to log straight away. We beat the rain this morning as we did another stretch of the Heysen Trail, loved the bridge built by the German Bushwalkers to cross a soggy spot, kept our shoes dry.
Thanks boab bill for the cache and getting us out and about.
